I got a work order to send to Mesa. I’ve tried new tubes , chords , different cabs just to make it was nothing else .Any one know why it’s sound blown? I’ve never had an amp do this . Clean channel sounds great . Just the gain channel doing this file:///var/mobile/Library/SMS/Attachments/aa/10/100E9324-8EC4-4BDE-B7B8-40B455F9744B/64920398358__0522130B-6DF5-4397-A420-D5B2E56A3CD4.MOV

That sounds like power tube failure. Are you sure the tubes you put in are good?

If you've checked the obvious then time to take it to a tech, could be a host of things being 30+ years old.

I’m sending to mike b . I got a work order already . Was just wondering if people have experience with this sound . New to me and I have 12 heads

You could try running a patch cord in the FX send to the return, long shot but it's something to try.

I had a MKIII acting up and it was just too complicated to trouble shoot. Mine was ghost noting very loudly and I think Mike B said it was bad tube socket in the end.

You’re in good hands with Mike B. Hopefully the repair won’t be very costly. While it’s there, have it fully serviced and get the ++ mod if he’ll do it.
