Try running EL 34's and JJ6v6's in you head..to hear the difference just pull the fuses of the tubes you dont want to hear. No need to pull the tubes, just pull the fuse and its fine. When running togther they really blend the mids of the 34's and the bounce and round bass of the 6v6's!

Yet another unique and completely cool way to run your amp. Why? Because you own an Egnater!
Ha! Try that with a ...

Does the coolness of owning these ever end. I think not.

Very Cool!

I normally run the MOD100 with 2 fuses taken out (50 watt mode) of the outer EL34 pair. This is just because the amp is ungodly loud with 4 EL34's in. My only caveat to this amp versus the MOD50 that I had was the half power switch - which I loved and dearly miss.

So let me get this straight -

I can replace the pair of EL34's not currently in use with a matched pair of JJ6L6's and then run all 4 tubes (the 2 center EL34 pair and the 2 outer JJ6L6's) together as a blend?

Awesome.

Should I re-bias the new pair of JJ6L6's against each other?

Yup bias the 6v6's at 21 ma and the 34's at say 38..I run the 34 paired on the inside and the JJ outside. Then as you play them just pull the fuse for either the 34's or the 6v6's to hear the difference and then all togther.
