Mod 50/100

After a long hard day of swappin tubes,cabs and amps and shit I've come to the conclusion that the Mod100 is a brutal metal machine.It's tight ,3 dimesional tone comes to life at noon and just goes bananas at 2:00/3:00.Endless headroom.I tried to set the 2 amps up exactly the same,tubes,cabs,modules and such to see how close I could get them.while they do retain the Egnater flavor and dimensional sound qualities,they are different.The 100 seems tighter and maybe a little brighter in a good way.The 50 seem looser a little darker but very organic.Shit who am I kidding,they both fuckin rock,I'm done

Try running them together at the same time. It will blow your mind. My favorite combo: Mod 50 SL chb and Mod 100 E
G 3/4 chA. The 2 amps together are perfect as they each are a perfect compliment to other.

I'm hopping that I'm done amp hunting after my MOD50 arrives. I don't play big halls so I don't need the monster sound (nice to have though..lol) ao I'm hopping my amp hunting days are over. Just for the record, does anyone know the price of a MOD100? LOL....Curiosity that's all...lol

Mod 100's are hard to come by but generally trade for around $3000 with modules.

Mod 100's are hard to come by but generally trade for around $3000 with modules.

that's what they sold for new when they where still being made as well.
