I'm still not having a lot of luck with my MOD50's parallel loop. I'm running a Eventide TimeFactor and I'm still hearing clipping on some of the delay trails. I'm using the dry kill and line level function the the TimeFactor. Any suggestions?

What module/s, what channel of the module and what are your settings? TS or TRS cables? What level is the Eventide set at (+4/-10)

FWIW - I have had a better time adjusting the loop since Bruce explained the gain structure. Admittedly, I like the the VX and DLX with a hotter channel master than my digital gear does. But, I am finding some compromise by using the power amp to compensate.

I'm using a DLX and SL. I'm using 2 George L's to connect the TimeFactor to the parallel loop. I'm not sure about the +4/-10. I'm using the line level mode with the killdry activated.

For that you should probably use the -10 setting.

FWIW, I've used a lot of different combination of effects, both rack, floor Multi FX, and pedals, and the only issue I ever had was with the VX and the Digitech RP1000.

I've solved my loop issues. I have another question for you guys. I like what the buffer in the TimeFactor does to the tone going into the front end of the Mod50. What's a good sounding buffer to use to push my cables to my pedal/amp?

What steps did you take to cure up the issues? You've been chasing that loop issue since back when you were using a replica. I use a creation audio labs redeemer in my les paul. Mixed feelings about it, really. I'm in the process of gutting the electronics out of my other gigging guitar and will be experimenting in the area as well.

I'd be interested to hear what some of the guys say... RC Booster, EP Booster, etc.?

I installed a different tube. It was that simple

I'm also realizing that I don't like effects loops. I like my delays in the front of the amp or go the full monty and do the W/D rig.

 Hate when that happens :)

The loops are a thorn for me as well... Right now though, I am feeling a bit dirty at the moment... I have an Axe FX on the 15 day trial right now as an experiment in w/d. It sounds pretty good through the loop as an effects processor. There is latency when I slave out the Mod50 and wet it with the axe fx. But, through the power section as a preamp, it is ridiculously good! Not even a good but different description, I mean really friggin good... The added benefit is no more messing with the loops...
