MOD 50 in the House...! Plus a short CLIP!

So my MOD50 arrived today...wooooo hoooo!! Thanks Jeff. :D

I was so damn anxious to get this little bugger. So far, so good. I spent a couple hours tweaking to my cabs and got some pretty nice sounds already. I went with the Bman and SL2 modules.

I recorded a very short clip (need to head to work soon), so check it out:

Rad man, I cruised through your other clips too. Seems we took a very similar path to the MOD50. I have had a 5150, 6505+, messed with a tiny terror and used a PODXT for a while. I also use EZ Drummer for composing and have tried the dual SM57 Nordstrom mic tech haha. Cool. Anyhoo

I really like how the SL2 pokes out of the speakers on your clip. What cab/ guitar did you use?

Oh and your We Die Young clip is pretty convincing. What amp, cab guitars did ya use???

Ross, hah that's so funny about our clips being so similar. Yeah I've been through some gear but was looking for the closest thing to a swiss army amp that could do it all.

For this clip I used my Gibby Les Paul Standard w/ 500T bridge pickup into my Orange 2x12 w/ vintage 30s. The "We Die Young" clip was the same guitar into my Peavey Rockmaster preamp that is long gone, into my Avatar 2x12 w/ a vintage 30.

I want to redo "We Die Young" with the MOD50. I really want to try it out on a greenback cabinet.

hahah one better... my "go to" guitar for all things rock and metal is a Les Paul Standard with 500t at the bridge!

I think that clip is a bit muddy. It also could be my Orange 2x12. I loved that cab with the 5150, but it's pretty dark with the Eggie. MOre experimentation and clips to come.
