No doubt, I knew it would be, but it sounded awesome at it's first gig last night. Bassman and SL2, tuner, wah, boost n buff with 5881's. Sounded great all night. I used channel B of the bassman quite a bit and it was way cool. Love it.

Had the master at not quite 11:00........would you guys maybe lower the module masters and crank up the power section master a bit more? What has been your experiences with that?

Awesome! I run my amp master at 1 o'clock and the modules there after. Seems to get a fair amount of power amp into the equation and you can dial back the intensity of the modules this way. Keeping the EG3/4?

Haven't decided yet. I still want to a/b them together. I didn't plug it in last night though. I think I really want the EG5 now though!! I felt at times that I could use just a bit of that upper mid bite that the EG5 is supposed to have. So if I go that way, I'll almost certainly sell the EG3/4. I also really want to try the T/D as well. This is just fun...........

I run my module masters as low as possible while keeping them even (due to different modules gain knobs being quite different from each other) because otherwise the signal is too hot in the effects loop. Even now the clip light comes on sometimes on my Timefactor if I dig into the T side of the T/D hard.

Bassman and SL2 is a great combination. SL2 blew me away again tonight. Its just the sickest module IMO.

I keep going back and forth between the Bman and the SL. The SL does it's own cool stuff as a clean channel too. Good thing I don't have to give up on either one!!!

Tommy,

Good to see you around these parts! Which one would you say is more classic plexi?

Hmmm I am still fighting with my inner conscience, I want one, I want one, I don't need one, I need one, I need one, I won't use it, I'll get it, I can't, I need to sell another amp first ...ARRRGGGGHHHHH

I WANT ONE

It's a great amp for sure!!

Well, guess I just had to do it.......got the EG5 on order from the shop!! Said it should ship within a week...........sweet!!

cool another member of the HHG module club!

Dang, was just downstairs playing the Mod (SL2) with master at 3:00!! :D  Fun Fun!!

Man, it just sounds so killer and full with that master up more. I've been playing it like 11:00, but it really cranks her up as it moves up the dial.

A pleasure to see you again as well my freind! How's the job working out? Things going okay I hope?

The SL is way more Plexi. I like the Bman for older B channel distortiions like James Gang or Wishbone Ash. The B'man will do a little better "pure" cleans on teh A channel though. Both are so good.

Bman B channel is great for older AC/DC!

What is the XTC module?

Its a single channel module based on the Bogner XTC Red Channel that Randall makes. Not designed by Bruce.

Oh, that one! I played it in my MOD 50 since a friend has that one. GREAT module but I need the second channel as in A and B!
