Hi all,
I have had this problem for a while. I get this weird distorted sound after the initial attack.

I have changed every tube with brand new tubes, BIASed power tubes to the correct spec, tried different speaker cab and it's still there.

Any ideas????? HELP Please...Bruce/Jeff

Any way you could record yourself so people could hear what you are talking about?

are you running anything in the loop?

does it still do it with the effects loop switched all the way off?

I run a Line 6 M13 in the series loop nothing in the parallel loop. I have all boosts from the M13 going through the front of the amp, all other effects going through the loop. I will eliminate the M13 tomorrow at practice and see what happens. I think I have tried that, but it did it just the same, but I will do it.

I will try to record and post it.

Thanks for the help.

I would suspect that that is it, the Egnater sends a ridiculously hot signal through the loops as well as seems to be very sensitive to a hot signal coming back to the return.

I had the same problem, I would strum a chord or hold a note with the DLX or BMan mod (harder to hear with higher gain modules) and I would hear a distorted sound after the chord would ring out, thought it was the hum issue with the MOD100.

Guess what, in my case, it was a bad instrument cable?

That's why I posted the cables & plugs thread.

Hope that helps.

get a Ebtech LLS fixed my clipping in my Gsystem with the Mod50.

did it color the sound at all?
No not at all.
I just traded my Mod50 off yesterday so I have to hook it up to my RMod100 or the amp coming in the next few weeks. Might be tricky with the RMod100 because I have the gcx controlling the M4 in the series loop so I have use of all 7 Modules.

Val,
You should contact me directly at bruce@egnater.com......but since we're here>>>

Does it do it with nothing in the loops? Guitar>cable>amp>>?
Has it worked fine all this time and just started doing this?
If so, what has changed, if anything?

Hi Bruce / all,
Rehearsal was canceled and I won't be able to try anything until next Thursday...I will definitely post my finidings.

Thanks again for your help!

Hi all,
after testing my amp here are the results:

Guitar>Cable>Amp - Seems to work fine on until I start to push the gain especially on the sl2X b channel. B channel very noticeable.
This distorted sound has not been an issue in the past just in the last month or so.
What has changed? I had changed some tubes, but didn't really notice when it started to happen, but sense then I have replaced all tubes with new and the problem persists.

I'm going to record and post it sometime over the weekend.

Thanks

Come on Val. You have been wrestling with the problem for too long and you are going to get frustrated. This is what I mean by not trying to resolve issues like this on the forums. You will get a lot of advice from well intended guys/girls trying to help but ultimately working with the person/company who made it is going to be your best bet. Please email me (begnater@aol.com) and tell me where you're at with this so I can make your amp troubles go away and you can be happy.
Bruce
