are any of you guys using the mod50 in CC mode on a different midi channel?

the new rig i'm planning will require me to run the mod50 in CC mode. I know some of the axess stuff only works in CC mode on channel 16.. just wondering if the mod50 was the same.

So....explain why you are "forced" to use CC msgs? I've never been "forced" to use it that way honestly. All the gear I have had works just fine on multiple MIDI channels. I use MIDI PCs w/ my Mod50 and M4. Have them both on MIDI Channel 2...and all the rest of my rack gear minus my CAE Line Mixer / switcher on MIDI channel 1. My CAE Line Mixer / switcher is on MIDI channel 16 and uses CCs to turn loops on / off.

i'm forced to use cc's because I have two other units I have that I need to control with pc's, and the mfc5 only sends PC's on two channels. i could using midi mapping but, i'd rather just use CC's on the mod50. I could essentially control the mod50 and grx4 with CC's, and the two racks units with PC's

guess i'll just have to try it out for myself!

ha! after owning an axess fx1 and using it for many years, there is no other midi controller on the market i would ever consider buying... like Matt said, when you're constantly out gigging, it more about rocking than pushing buttons, which is exactly where i'm going with this new rig.
