My MOD50 stopped working today
Anyone have any idea where to get it serviced? I looked on the egnater modular website but did not see any service information.

Are the tubes still working? If so, check the fuses. If those are fine, then take your power cord and insert it into the effects loop jacks...plug it in and out a few times and see if it works. If not email Bruce through here and he will help you. He is excellent!

 I don't get it . . . can you explain that one?

Nothing is working. I was playing heard what sounded like 60 cycle hum and then the volume dropped and everything turned off. no lights on the front, no tube glow, nothing. Could blown fuses cause this?

I think that's a typo. I'm pretty sure he means an instrument cable. A dirty/bad serial return jack can sometimes cause the amp to appear to not work. If you connect a patch cable from the send into the return, does the amp work? If so, get some good contact cleaner, spray the jacks and plug in and out a few times.

Mine has done that on and off. so I just keep a jumper patch cord inserted at all times.

Similar thing happened to my wife's Bass amp (boogie tube amp) a couple of times. Both times it was a power tube going wacky, then the mains fuse blew. Replaced the fuse and the bad tubes, and all was well.
