I haven't been digging the clean tones from my Mod50 until I it plugged into my AC30 cab with Blues. I've been using a TM 2x12 with the Elite 80's and have notice that my cleans were a little bland. Other than the Blues I'm wonder if maybe it's the series Vs parallel differences that I'm hearing?

Now I'm starting to realize that it's not the amp's clean that I'm not digging as much as the cab or speakers. I've always love the tone of an AC30 cab.

Wow, I think my cleans are big and beautiful through my TM212.

after putting either 2 M75s or a M75 / H75 combo in my TM212...it was the ticket man. Or try a Weber Silver Bell / Blue Dog combo. Honestly...thinking about it more. You should have bought my TM212 cab w/ 12F150 / 12F150T's in there. For your playing style....that cab w/ the Weber 12F150 / 12F150T's would be the best. Damn those speakers were nice...clean...chimey and growly.

Eric, are the Weber Silver Bell / Blue Dog combo close to as good as the Scumbacks? Thanks man.

For me...no. They were really good sounding... When I A/B'ed that combo to my 4x12 w/ M75 65W speakers...the M75s were definitely the right voicing for me...

Having said that...all the Weber speakers (Scumbacks included since that's who makes them) are good. Just depends on what tonal variety you want. the tonal variety that worked for me were definitely the M75 and H75. Having played the H55s and other scumback speakers...the M75 / H75's are definitely his best speakers.

The Weber 12F150 / 12F150T's are definitely a different variant of speaker that I really really liked...probably my favorite non-scumback speaker...but for different purposes entirely. More for BMAN, SL, VX types of tones....clean - mid gain...no EG5 speaker for sure!! :)

I wasn't crazy about how my Mod 50 sounded with the TM 2 x 12 either. I use a Stone Age 2 x 12 C with Celestion G12H65's and love both the cleans and overdrive tones.

I just tried the cab for the first time with the back on. It's was way too bassy with the back off. It seems like the E80 is voice for a closed back. I'll have to try it on a gig and report back.

BTW: Eric, your DLX and VX settings sound great with the closed back cab. Your settings are perfect for my rig and style.

That is so strange man. I have the same cab you have but I keep the middle panel removed because I find it sounds way bigger, more airy and has more sparkle. I also find the low end plenty tight with the back off. That is odd man what you found.
