Yeah, I would say he's pretty proud of that amp......funny.

Yup, that amp has been well traveled since I got it from jcmtone1 here on RT. I think it sounded great.

The amp was not blowing tubes when I shipped it out, so I'm not sure if something went wrong during shipping.

My understanding was the Mark did almost everything. He had the clean channel in there, but the original owner got fed up with the wait and picked the amp up when it was 98% finished. I believe Dave F added the switching mechanism and a little else.

After I got acqainted with this amp, I loved with a boost out front. Sounded killer.

Oh, and that amp is waaaay overpriced. I took it in trade and gave a value of $2,500 towards the CCV I sold. I ended up selling it for $2,200 because the amp had a slight bleed through of the dirty channel into the clean which would require a simple fix by a local tech (about $100).

Yeah...I know this amp.....real well! Friedman had to put it "all" back together and all that was in there for the clean channel were the pots and a few wires. The dirt channel was also a mess so...I'd call it a Friedermon....

People reading this will think this amp has a checkered past which is kind of a shame since it is a good sounding amp. Sounded like a Cameron to me...

my buddy chris (jcmtone) owned this amp and when he had it , sounded killer and didnt have any issues...

Just so everyone knows, I'm not Fritzworld. I've been, playing, buying, and selling gear on Ebay for about 15 years. My reputation has never been in question and I have always had positive experiences with everyone here and on Ebay.

Cameron modded amps are what they are price wise and if it doesn't sell I'll be more than happy to keep it. I have a ton of amps and I like to try them and move them on just like everyone else.

I haven't experienced any problems at all with this Cameron. The only thing that is acurate is you do hear a faint bleed of the dirty channel in the clean channel if your playing at wimpy, girly bedroom volumes. At a manly playing volume in a band situation or rehearsal you don't have the bleed. Never bothered me. I actually had that happen with an XTC and VH4 before so it's not an uncommon thing and I don't see everyone shredding Peter D's amps or Reinholds amps.

Anyway, it is what it is, an amazing sounding amp from one of the best ever to mod amps.

Would be a great amp I'm sure. My Jose HG is never going anywhere! Are you sure that Friedman did the clean side?

Another Sherlock Holmes. Doesn't make the amp worth any less. Amp functions perfectly fine and sounds great! Aparently there's only a few of us that know how to bias an amp correctly.
I'm just glad I own one so when Mark flakes out again on everyone this amp will be worth twice as much. It's only a matter of time before someone on here posts a review saying that the new CCV's don't sound as good as his modded Marshalls and either myself or some happy new owner will have this one.

He can sell for what he wants right? I always start high and if no one bites lower it. I wouldnt take my Fritztrations out on the Maniac

When my ATX-100 was on eBAY....it was "classic" how all the clowns were saying on RT bashed the $3200.00 price   and then someone thought I was asking $4500.00 LOL  ??
So now theres all these 'RESALES" of such great Cameron modded amps no longer wanted ; )
As quick as the one bid buy for $1850.00 sold, its re-listed cause the dude dosent like the tone???..., well as my EARS are always wide open, my ATX-100 sounds BETTER than those modded Marshalls ( I heard the clips to all of em') and Im glad I kept the Egnater designed ATX-100 head modded by Mark.....instead of giving it away for a measly grand, cause its such a killer amp now that Mark blessed it!! I had one guy email me saying "glad you still have it, cause its in the right hands to play it Rikk". ;) I jammed last night with a guy who had a Boogie Roadster and I wasn't at the least bit threatened by his tone.....the whole night. Thanks Mark, this amp KILLS! Im running two heads, the EGNATER 4100 4th Channel and 3rd channel and the FOURTH channel of the "NEG" is so reminicent of the Cameron its scary close in regards to "tightness" and harmonic design and tone, that they BOTH blend SICKLY TOGETHER! I hope all the patient guys that have had faith for their CCV's come thru very soon!!! :) SHRED ON RIG TALK!

Does someone from RT own the Ocean/Jose that's on ebay?

Steve
