I'm not being dramatic - check it out

with the focus on this statement: "Bruce has since discontinued the modular line and I had a friend ask me to do a walkthrough of my MOD50." -Tone Chef

That's not just some random TGP guy. I think the guy that wrote it was either the Egnater webmaster or something. I know for sure he was the guy who Egnater posted on its site that did the first Rebel 20 demo way back when.

I believe Bruce just recently reiterated that the E2 is being released in "early 2011", which wouldn't make sense if he was discontinuing the modular line . . .

It was my belief that the handmade modular amps and stuff is going away, but that it will pick back up with overseas production, making it more available for the masses...?...

Yes - that was also stated in the post I was referencing . . . I guess I should have mentioned that, as it was probably the most important point!

Here's the word from Bruce: https://www.rig-talk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=78029&start=26

Hand built in our shop modular products are being wound down right now, with the last of the Mod 50's currently sitting here being built. But like you guys already mentioned, Modular is not dying for good. It will be revamped, and built outside of our shop. This does not for sure mean over seas, but it won't be built by us in our basement any longer, after this run of them. The Modular line in it's current state has been around and unchanged for a number of years, and is due for a bit of a revamping obviously. That's about all I can say about it right now, but rest assured we don't have any intentions of letting the Modular line completely die off.

Thanks for the clarification, Ian. That's a relief. Can't wait to see what you guys have planned - your pop's a genius.
