For all you complainers that say you dont hear the love for the modular stuff>

I freaking love my Egnater modular stuff.

I own Mod 100
Dual Modded Lynch box
and four, yes four M4's.

I have too many modules to count.

I own lots of amps, but at the end of the day I always plug into my eggie stuff and it makes me smile!

Me too man! I recently just rebuilt a '93 Marshall Super Lead Reissue. Tricked it way out with new tranny, ptp board, Sozo caps, and so on. It's a lot of weight to lug around & hook up. The SL cover that territory just fine.

Same with a Matchless that used I owned, lots of extra weight & hook up time. The VX covers it's territory just fine.

I still own a ton of amps, which I rent out. I've completely discovered that aside from the weight & hook up savings, the modules actually sound more refined and more versatile than all of the original amps..

Fender Twin '65 Reissue - Great sound, but 85 freakin' pounds a piece! To hell with that, slide in a T/D, done!

Fender Bassman '59 Reissue - Sounds awesome, it's not all that heavy, but fawk it, the Bman does just fine, if not better.

Marshall 4100 & 2555 - Both are cool, but the SL & SL2 cover both of those and more.

And lastly, just the other day I bought a Splawn Quickrod for fun. Sounds awesomely 80's, but it cost a lot and does ONE good sound. It's going up for sale if anyone wants it. My SL2 or EG5 covers that ground just marvelous!!

I seriously have tried to get away from the modular, just to keep from having to explain to people on how cool it is, lol. I'm seriously tired of explaining to people about it. They ask a million questions about it, and seem all interested, but in the end, they still stay with their shitty Line6's or whatever. Bruce & company need to seriously do some more promoting of the modular line, because so many people don't even know about it!!

I LOVE my Egnater modular stuff as well, it is just soo damn versatile and sounds great.

DLX best clean tone I've ever heard
VX never played an original but owning this I could care less
SL2x Blows away any Marshall I've ever owned
EG5 well what can I say :D

I just recently bought a Splawn Quickrod as well just for fun.

In the end the MOD100 is my #1

Not complaining - but when I buy something, I expect it to be supported/continued/improved. I'm not going to be just one of the sheep that goes through life not wanting to speak my mind. I agree with you - they sound great. But if it breaks, it's a very heavy paperweight if I can't get anyone local to fix it. And I'll bet some of the modular players would like some more sounds too. But from Bruce, not Randall et al. And the E2 someday please? Isn't that why you bought this amp? To find YOUR tone? How about an updated modular amp of lower wattage that's compact. Built by his family, right here in the USA. I've asked for this a couple of years ago. But GC was is full swing.

Maybe some of the modular players should come forward and start putting some pressure on Bruce to get us the products he promised. Why are we so nice on this forum? Yes, Bruce is a very nice guy, be he's in business to make money, not friends, as all busineses have to be.

I've had Egnater modular for almost 2 years, and I haven't had a single problem with any of it. I can't even recall anyone ever having a problem with any of the USA stuff.

The problems were in the overseas GC stuff.

I agree - the hand built stuff is very reliable.

I will say that I still think my MOD 100 is the best amp I've ever owned. But I was hoping for more things to come in this line. But I'm happy that I have one.

Couldn't agree more. I meet a LOT more guys that see my M4 and say "what the %$#@! is that???" then I meet guys that know what it is. The modular stuff is awesome and I agree with everyone here to the extent that Bruce should put more focus on this, as there is no way he has achieved the market penetration he could if people just KNEW THAT THIS STUFF EXISTED AND WHAT IT'S CAPABLE OF!

Plus, how about a few new modules already!! A Hiwatt? An Orange? A Bogner? Sure, we have the Fender, Marshall, Vox, Recto and maybe Soldano (EG5) covered, but that's hardly all of the heavy hitters anymore.....

i have not had any real problems with the eggie stuff.

lets face it.

all new amps are going the way of pcb and disposable mentality.

i am really not that worried because I have an amp tech that has already seen the modules and the inside of my mod 100 and said that it was laid at pretty clearly and should not be that difficult to work on for most of the stuff that amps fail.

that being said.

i had always used hilligan whenever i needed something and he always came through for me very quickly.

i cannot attest for recently as my stuff has been rock solid for a while now, even with daily use! ;)

(sorry bud, I was in Seoul for the last week...)

E2!!!!!!! Bring it!!!!

I understand your enthusiasm and I like my Mod50 w/kt88s a lot but I have yet to hear a module that makes me smile the way my Splawn Nitro does...I have an eg5 and while it does sound really good the bottom end thump is no where near that of my Splawn  it really has to be cranked to the decapitation level to get a satisfying thump and that doesn't sit well with club owners!
I'm just saying........

I recommend a blind test, because you eyes might be hearing the difference.

I have found my Egnater/Randall to be extremely awesome.
