I would LOVE if there was a Mod 50 module that was kinda geared towards the Deizel heavy sound. I really love that tight Unruly brutal sound that the Diezels do. I was debating between a deizel or mod 50 at first, but for various reasons going with the Mod for overall flexibility. I am not a metal head, I just really like thier heavy sound, when I need something very hard.

This one is a stretch but Thought i would drop it in the pot

Yeah, I have an Eg5 on the way on my upcoming head, but from the clips I have heard of it, it is in no way as modern and tight sounding as some of the deizel sounds. The deizels just have such a unique killer heavy sound to them. pure brutality.

I am looking forward to the Eg5, but from what I have heard, its a bit more hair metal then modern deizel. Of course to get a deizel sound, one would have to get a deizel, but thats a lot of coin ontop of getting an eggie.

With the EG5 I think that would be totally unnecessary. It would cover a lot of the same ground. Plus, these guys cant just crank out new module designs when someone wants one.

The MHG will get you to super heavy Diezel territory......

EG5 does much more than hair-metal......it's hands down the best high-gain Egnater module (IMHO).

I would suggest playing with the EG5 before asking for a Diezel module. The clips that are available don't fully showcase what it is capable of. This module has too much gain available. I'm not saying it's going to do Diezel Herbert at full bore, but it will definitely get you into that zone and keep you happy. Definitely happy enough to not bother putting together the money to get a Diezel.

The EG5 is a midrange frequency enhanced version of the MHG. Dial back the mids and you've got the MHG.

Hmmm....my MHG and EG5 are very different.....no way you could just roll back the mids on my EG5 and get the MHG....at least not with my modules. MHG has much more low-mids and bass, less high-end as well as the upper mid difference you mentioned. It gets much closer to my Diezel Herbert.....

For the record, the EG5 is my favorite!!

Fair enough. Audioholic, listen to Superunknown (the user and the album)!

It's all good man!

At the end of the day it's always best to simply try them both and make up you own mind....
