Hi everyone,
Looking to get some bulk cable to rewire my pedal board. Was hoping to get the mogami 2319 cable. Are there any solderless 1/4 straight and right angle connectors that work with that cable ?

Thanks

I don't EVER trust solderless. Soldering is easy it just takes a little bit of practice.

FWIW I use the BTPA CA-0446 cable with Switchraft jacks. I have NEVER had a problem. Great cable, comparably spec'd to the big names (if not better) and it's cheaper.

Learn to solder your own patch cables. I like Mogami too. But solder those connectors. They should damn near last forever.

Are there any smaller sized 1/4" plugs that work good for pedals boards that you guys can recommend ?

I don't have a whole lot of pedals, but will need a mix of RA and straight plugs.

Thanks

I use George L’s and don’t have any issues so don’t be afraid of solderless. They’re quick and easy to make and are great when you make changes and need to resize cables.

Solder your own cables.

I just bought mogami 2319 bulk cable and these are the plugs I'm gonna use.

I am going to say it again, solder them. They will last forever and you will likely never have a problem. Solderless is a NO-GO. Do it once, and do it right

Totally agree. I have had nothing but bad experiences with solderless connectors. They are just a recipe for disaster.

Solder them. Do it. Do it now.

Yes. Nothing more of a pain in the ass trying to troubleshoot a bad cable on your rig at a gig or even at home is bad enough.

Do it once and do it right.

Thanks everyone. I'll get a diy kit and solder my cables.

no need for a KIT. buy bulk from BTPA or moogami (on ebay) and buy the jacks you need. i am a switchraft guy, but nothing is wrong with neutrik. cheaper that way.

Sorry, that's what I meant by "kit". Buying my own cable and connectors and start soldering :D

LOL. I have only had one rig go down at a gig. Just ended up going straight into the amp. It had nothing to do with patch cables but I have two passionate pet peeves, fuck solderless anything, and locking tuners suck and are unnecessary and don't solve any problems.

Don't get me going bro! Lol

Just wanted to comment, I use solderless and been just fine though i can see how just using soldered from the git go works too. It takes a little while to get use to making a solderless cables, went thru a learning curve myself but wasn't that bad. Having a cable tester is key. Also I don't wiggle my pedals or move shit very often either but have about 30+ patch cables of all size and lengths that are still working great. If I ever do reconfig anything though I always make it a point to retest my cables just cause I hear so many bad things about solderless but not been an issue. I also found that the more costly ones were easier to make such as evidence audio sis ones vs some generic cheaper ones off of amazon. In the end it was cost effective to use lava cable in bulk/ebay and whatever good priced plugs I could find.
