My Mojo Vibe is in the mail and should be in my hands by Monday evening. Never owned a Univibe before so I'm real excited to get this highly rated unit. It took almost 3 months of backorder to get it and its not cheap at 270 but the clips and reviews and hype from the postings here has me sold. I will post later after I try it out.

Well after messing with the Mojo Vibe for less than an hour at home and not at a gig I have to say I am pleased. Looks to be well made, sounds good clean and with overdrive. If I turn the speed down it gets a nice Leslie sound and can easily be sped up with the foot controled speed knob. This box nails the classic Univibe sounds and if you go to the Sweet web site and hear the clips it nails that as well. I will try it at a gig this weekend and mess with the modren and vintage settings tonight. Its a keeper and will stay on the pedalboard no doubt. More updates after the gig. Later

Is the quote in purple on purpose? I tried the modren just now and I think for my setup it may be the better of the two. The inside date is handwritten 8/18/07. The paint isn't even dry yet.

Nice touvh. Have you ever tried any of Sweets Fuzz pedals?

Nope, never heard them. Only fuzz pedal I own is Roger Mayer Stone Fuzz.

I am interested in checking them out but I am also thinking a menatone TBIAC maybe as a mate for the Fargen/VOS.

Sounds good. Do you have the Fargen yet?

Yeah, I got it a couple of weeks ago for 299 shipping included. Its very smooth and really makes all of my guitars sing in a new kinda way. It makes the tone very big and even thru my tiny 20 watt amp sounds like 100 watts with lots of speakers. Still just warming up to it and have only played out once so far but it did nicely and made the BBPreamp sit back and listen. I think it is more versitle than the BBPreamp but I am gonna keep the BB for a different sound to have some varibles in the pedalboard. Also have a Kelley modded Sparkle Drive and a HBE Power Screamer and a Kendricks Buffaloe Puzz that needs a new on/off switch. The Puzz is cool and I think its a keeper.

Sounds like I need to check one out.

Go to Fargens website and there are clips of Fenders and Gibsons thru the VOS. I think the VOS may be the finest pedal I have ever tried or owned to date. Gets me where I want to be without any harshness at all. I have been trying to get that creamy John Harrington sound for a long time and thought I may have to switch amps. Fargens Miniplexi is also very cool for a small low watt amp and has a classic or VOS switch built in. With the VOS I din't have to shell out $1400 for an amp just the $299 for the pedal. Not to many of them around I think mine is in the teens SN wise. Anyway check out the clips and if you buy email Fargen and buy direct from him and save shipping and around another $25. Later

Finally got to use the MoJoVibe in a band setting. I changed the internal dip switch back to vintage as it was a bit brittle in the modren setting. The Mojo works great and can be subtle or in your face. Works well with overdrives and equally as well in the clean mode. I thinks its a keeper, appears to be well made and easy to dial in speed control with your foot on the oversized speed knob. In slow speed its almost a phaser in sound. Got lots of potential. Can also change from chorus to vibrato for a more stuccato pulse in the repaeats. Very different, my first univibe.

I REALLY want one of these! I almost picked one up used awhile back but some unexpected bill came up and i couldn't get it. I'm a bit partial to the swirl paint job myself though.

The backorder was all summer long; that was a drag. Check ebay for deals I've seen em go for $225 recently and they are well worth the $$$. I think it was worth the wait but would have bought one used if I could have.
