Anyone here play through a Mojotone Grand Canyon? They look cool and have great prices, but curious if they sound good
Yeah I dig mine. Great clarity , very open sounding cab.@the4thlast1 has one… he said it sounds awesome
Anything it is similar to?Yeah I dig mine. Great clarity , very open sounding cab.
It reminds me of the oversized Mills cabs for the clarity , but still sounds a good deal better. Not tons of the lowend like you might expect , its more of a tight and focused low, no junk around the notes.Anything it is similar to?

V30s , I tried a mix of V30/H30 and V30/Redback. All V30s sound the best to my earswhich speakers do you have?
My same experience with a Mesa OS. I prefer the punch of Traditional cabs, but the OS does a cool thing too.It reminds me of the oversized Mills cabs for the clarity , but still sounds a good deal better. Did that Mills have a huge low end or very thick sound overall? That’s one cab I haven’t tried. For tight lows my go-to cab has been my VHT Fatbottom, but I wonder if this new Grand Canyon cab would be even better for thatIt reminds me of the oversized Mills cabs for the clarity , but still sounds a good deal better. Whats interesting about both the Mills and the Grand Canyon is they don’t have a huge lowend. It has enough bass though , similar to a traditional sized cab. I just mention it because most of us would think bigger cab equals bigger bass. The Grand Canyon has very tight bass , similar to the fat bottom. I actually had a new fat bottom with fane speakers next to it and I prefer the Grand Canyon. Don’t get me wrong the fat bottom is a great cab. The Grand Canyon has a very open sound that most other cabs don’t have. Other cabs sound a bit bloated if that make sense. I think the port does relieve some cloudiness. So you end up with a focused tone that cuts out some of the “junk” other cabs might add.Did that Mills have a huge low end or very thick sound overall? That’s one cab I haven’t tried. Nice! Sounds like I may have to check one out. My Fatbottom is I think an older VHT one from the '90's and for now just has V30's and K100's in it, but still like it a lot for tightness. My Kerry Wright is more open and dynamic than my Fatbottom. I think I know what you mean about the bloated part. My Ubercab has the biggest low end of what I've had, but I don't find myself still playing it as much as my other cabsWhats interesting about both the Mills and the Grand Canyon is they don’t have a huge lowend. That cool , I have a rear loaded Bogner with all V30s. I wonder how different it sounds compared to an Ubercab. Does your Ubercab have a sealed back like the fat bottom ? Considering you have Celestions in your Fat bottom I would think they sound similar.Nice! Sounds like I may have to check one out. Both my Ubercab and Fatbottom are frontloaded. The Ubercab is not a sealed back like my Fatbottom or Diezel 412FL. My Fatbottom and Diezel actually sound pretty similar to each other, but I find my Ubercab sounds quite different than the other cabs I've had. Maybe it's partly the foam on the back panel, not sure. The other model Bogner cabs like the one you have sounds different IME, but I liked those too. I actually swapped the stock Celestion's in my Ubercab with Fane F90's and now all vintage JBL's and surprisingly the overall sound of the cab didn't change a whole lot with the swaps. It just has this inherently very fat, modern, kinda dark soundThat cool , I have a rear loaded Bogner with all V30s. I wonder how different it sounds compared to an Ubercab. whats funny is my friend has a Bogner with V30/T75s in an x pattern. We tried it side by side with mine with all V30s and they sound the same. I’ve swapped speakers in mine too and noticed that the cab itself has a certain sound to it that sticks. Both my Ubercab and Fatbottom are frontloaded. Interesting. I've only tried the other model Bogner cabs with just V30's in them. I liked the sound of all the Bogner cabs I've tried, so I guess it can be a good thing in way that they don't change much lol. My Kerry Wright on the other hand can sound like a totally different cab with each speaker swap. The speaker swap differences in my Diezel 412FL and Friedman cab were maybe somewhere in between those 2 cabs. Haven't swapped anything yet in my Fatbottmwhats funny is my friend has a Bogner with V30/T75s in an x pattern. We tried it side by side with mine with all V30s and they sound the same. It’s pretty different. It’s open and dynamic, very responsive to speaker changes, maybe more transparent in a way. The other cabs I’ve got are all front loaded, so they’re tighter from that and for other reasons more modern sounding than the KW. The KW has I’d say more low end than the Fatbottom, but not as much as the Ubercab or DiezelThe Kerry Wright is one I would like to try. How does it compare to the others ?
