Monitors for Laptop

I want to get a pair of monitors to use with my MacBook Air for recording. What do you recommend? Would like to keep it under $300. Also, do I need to get an audio interface? If so, what do you recommend. Cheers! Mind me as this is all new to me.

Kali Audio LP6 are very good for the money but I think they are up to 399.00 a pair now?
