I took a gamble on one of these pedals based off of a youtube review of someone getting a semi passible EVH Van Hagar tone. it is a cheap little pedal price wise, and I must say after getting it in, I am quite impressed. while it doesn't compare to an eventide H9 or pitch factor in terms of pedals, it does hold its own at least to my ears. once this pedal showed up, I hooked it into my rig, and set the toggle to detune, and the knob to -2 which equals -10 cents. since it only does one of the two and not both this actually seems to be a good setting. long story short, its a good bang for the buck pedal to throw in a practice rig or a compact set up for those times when you may want that detune effect a la Van Hagar

ill try and get some quick little clips posted up soon

Another really good cheap detune is the boss PS-5, I got them after seeing a Kent Carlivi video. I split my signal stereo in a WDW setup and use two PS-5's to get the -10 and +10 van hagar detune and they work great. I know it more like 9 cents +- exactly in the eventide world.

Yes, the -10 cents setting is the base minimum for 5150 tone, that's what Kent Carlivi used in his YT vids. I think I'll go for the Pitchfactor one day who knows.

I'd love to find one (cheaper) pedal to put in front or in loop to get that F.U.C.K. detune/pitch shift thing. Just a simple pedal into one amp.

Did you put this pedal in the loop?

yes sir I run it in the loop of my amps. it does the job very well especially considering the price. I think I paid 55 bucks shipped from Canada for a brand new one if I remember correctly ? this is the video I saw the demo of. the demo isn't the greatest but it gives the idea. id suggest scrolling through to about 3:20. the tone also leaves a bit to be desired, but that just means the pedal works even better with better tone   . the -1 setting works well also, but is a bit more subtle. here is the video

my eventide I have set to +7/-7 and not sure where the hell I got those settings. ill have to try the +9/-9. the eventide stays in my gig rig. I use this pitch box for home use with a smaller set up. I was quite surprised at how well the little bastard works to be honest. I haven't tried a PS-5, but pedals have became a way to cure gas without breaking the bank so ill have to try one of those out

If you can find a Digitech iStomp and an old iPhone with the software the Coral pedal does a pretty good detune for the price.

I just watched the vid... it sounds good, as good as the PS-5's to my ears and you can't beat the price. As for the +9/-9 cents settings I remembered them from other resources on the web and I think there is are multiple threads here were SAH5150, Steve Henning laid out all the settings for it, he pretty much had that tone down.
