Honestly, I dig it.. I think it has that signature vocal style of his and it isn't a lame big chorus modern melodic rock sort of deal. It jams, grooves a bit, has a proper solo. I think it craps on what Skid Row put out. It's proper rock. Definitely doesn't feel like it was mailed in like so many.

Did you see his most recent performance over the past weekend in Daytona? It sounds about as good as Vince Neil. He's out of Key & The Melodies are missing.

That’s too bad, I’ve been digging his voice on the recent recordings.
He’s awesome from time to time, making poor health choices and his own worst enemy maybe?

that Town Car is cool, wouldnt mind having one of them again if gas goes down. the song i guess is ok, nothing im going to listen to again though

Not Sure but all the videos i've watched & from first hand accounts from Friends of mine in the Music Industry taht were in attendance said it was really bad.....which is why he often turned the mic to the crowd for tnem to sing. They also mentioned he was very out of breath the whole time.....which made me ask did he have a cold? or something?

I just skipped around a bit but I don’t think this was that bad, leagues above Neil, that’s for sure-

I’d MUCH rather hear a performance like that than know he’s up there miming to backing tracks. That’s actually EXACTLY what I want to hear instead of backing tracks, a human doing their best to deliver.

i agree but even the video you posted is bad. It's not JBJ Level nor Vince but close. I'd rather watch someone that can sing....you were recently at Queensryche & Todd can sing.

I dig the song. There just aren't many of these 80's guys left who can still hit all the notes. The Rockville stuff isn't great but still way better than Vince or Don D recently

Listening to Don D Makes me sad the same way i feel about JBJ.... It made me sad when i went to the last Bon Jovi show in Ft. Lauderdale & he sounded like someone killing a cat.

This whole new album is kick ass. I was shocked. Didn't expect anything, but I listen to it daily. Great songs.

Not my style of music, but it kicks the shit out of that new Crue song lol

Good for Bach, sounds like he actually cares enough to write material that doesnt suck dick - which is more than I can say for Crue or a bunch of other aged buttrocker bands that are popular on RT

The solo isn't really my taste either, but im glad its there, and it fits the music better than whatever the fuck John 5 was doing

For sure, but different context, Ryche is practically art metal and Baz plays sleazy dive bar metal, this is pretty much what I expect a rough around the edges dude in his 60’s to sound like.

Queensryche to me & others like them have always been what i call Broadway Metal.....it always sounds like something you might hear at a broadway show like Phantom of the opera or Hadestown. I'd expect both to actually be able to sing the songs in key & be able to deliver the melodies otherwise it sounds like what i hear a Karaoke bars.

I Don't thinki he writes much of anything. he did write the lyrics & help with the melodies but the music was written by others.

Listen, there is no question he and everyone else is using auto tune these days. At least they didn't over use it and it still sounds like him and somewhat natural. Live is another story...he's what, 60 now? No way he can hold on to that voice given his lifestyle and choices. Not many of these guys can do it live anymore and i think because so many are using backing tracks and lip synching in parts that we have even more unrealistic expectations. It's like westley snipes said in Blade, " some maa f-ckas always tryin' ta skate up hill". Expectations are a losing battle. I thought this was a good listen, I've played in 5 or 6 times and it is well executed. Love that pingy ride in the chorus, reminded me of Mickey Dee.

It's live.. that wasnt bad at all. Years ahead of Vince. He still hits his mid voice tremolo pretty good. Also, on a lot of the Skid Row shit he could totally use backing tracks for a huge chorus but he doesn't do it. He's still a " good" rock singer. Tight band too.
