Most Crushing Tone in Metal.

I don't want to limit this to Death Metal, even though I think that is where the Slime Lives. I want some of you to prove me wrong. But the goal of this is Songs that are just massive or have a massive riff where the tone of the guitar is insane. I will give two I was listening to this morning.





In general, The most crushing band I have seen live is Soreption. I mean, maybe Vitriol was close. But goddamn. Soreption is fucking sick.

Man, I actually posted a best death metal tone/mix thread a while back that got no replies lol. First one I posted was organic hallucinosis! Album rules, even though I prefer the earlier decapitated vocals. I think something that gets missed too in that mix is how big of a role that super clanky bass plays. So gnarly.

Soreption is insane too. The guitarists they’ve had are so ridiculously tight.

Ah rammstein. I remember I once kinda started writing a song after some bitch complained about my construction crew bothering her. I was really excited about the project and then one of my friends said that my riff sounded like du hast. I was like, shit it does. I emailed Richard Kruspe and sent him the track, and he said it was different enough and I should carry on.

I just never did.

The canibal corpse one is awesome af . But the other two seem like what’s normal today
Corpse tones are so underrated
I think their best times are on Bloodthirst

I really assumed soreption would be up your alley. Their use of scales is insane and the right hand is crushing

I was at that NAMM and saw him perform. It was a fucking trip. Greg is locked in on his craft. He is all over his pedal board like a tap dancer. I give him mad fucking kudos for what he does.

Ya dude I was blown away when they put this out . The bsss player committed suicide and that was the end . It’s too bad . That had a big future
