Hello everyone,

I'm from Paris france and I'm about to go to live in Montreal Canada. I own a VH4 Diezel amp but in France we use 220v against 110v in Canada.
Can someone help me about what should I do about this? Do I have to change something in the VH4 to allow it to work correctly?

I'm in the same boat as you, only I'm moving from Barcelona to dominican republic (220 > 110) and I've been told it's very easy to make he VH4 110v. Ask Peter how to do it, it's your best bet, instead of using converters for ever

Welcome to the forum brother!

Hope you enjoy montreal. We might have to jam someday

While Canada may be a nice place to live, I would give anything to live in France, especially after seeing le Tour de France for the last three weeks.
I cannot imagine a more bautiful country with so many different types of places to live in.

Good luck in your move to Canada.

As for yoour amp, email Peter Diezel and see if you can possibly travel to his shop prior to leaving Europe to have him do a conversion for you.

Thanks a lot, I'm sure I'll enjoy this beautiful country and his people. And I'll certainly enjoy playing there too!
Otherwise, I hope Peter Diezel will answer to this post because I can't contact him by PM or email. I can't find his mail...
By the way, if you see this post Peter, I guess so many people tell you a lot of good things about your amps... Well, they're right! Everytime I plug my guitar on it I get that smile that everyone knows on hearing these amps. I become a thirty years old kid  :D
I love my VH4! It just kicks ass!
Just for information, I used to play on a Vigier excalibur and now I play on a John Suhr and this amp is totally respectfull of both guitars "personality".

bienvenue au Canada!
you can always buy a voltage converter box that will allow you to plug your head into a Canadian power socket. it's probably not very much money for one maybe $50 or $60 i think? it's what use when i tour in europe, so i would assume you could get one to use from european voltage to canadian.

ps montreal is a wonderful city and you have to try some Poutine!
