Music Man factory in San Luis Obispo, CA

I may spend a day in San Luis Obispo this summer during a trip. Anyone here ever tried to visit the Music Man factory in San Luis Obispo ? Do they welcome anonymous schmoes like me or do you need John Petrucci superstardom level to try a few instruments ?
 
Unless things changed in the past few years, there is no factory tour. I lived in SLO, and none of the guitar shops there stocked EBMMs. It was odd to know that just down the street was a world class guitar company that you couldn't get in to see how they make their stuff.

Hoping I'm wrong since that would be a cool thing to do while visiting.
 
I don't think they generally do visits. I'd try emailing or calling- maybe you can arrange something. Y'never know.

It's a pretty cool place- I've been through it.
 
It’s worth asking.

We were able to tour the Santa Cruz Guitar Company shop a few years ago when visiting family. Just took an email and it was a done deal. It was absolutely amazing,
 
I will try to contact them for sure ! Maybe they'll have a factory second Stingray for sale ! :rock:
 
Taylor is also in the area but they stopped doing tours during Covid and just never started up again.
