MF is more like a free trial of any gear they sell. People buy shit with no intention of keeping it, try it and return it. In my mind it is a used piece of gear at that point.

JRR used to have a like their Facebook page and get like 10 or 15% off deal. Pretty cool site

I've bought stuff from JRR before. Great prices. Good communication. Quick shipping.

MF is at least better than zzounds by a mile. My friend bought some Mackie powered monitors from zzounds and got "a good" price. He sells them to me and one has a noticible volume difference from the other. Go on Mackies support site and input the serial. Bam they were seconds. No warranty. F them I will never buy shit from those bastards again. Zzounds or Mackie....

So your friend bought, I assume, a blemished product which is second hand and Zzound's price reflects this then you buy them from him making them 3rd hand and it's the distributor's fault? Sounds like you wanted shiney new toys at garage sale prices. Zzounds clearly states whether or not a product is new, blemished, factory resealed, or otherwise on the product's page. You can buy a new product if you want or you may have the option of a used product at a large savings. Sometimes the warranty is void on these used products so it's up to the buyer to decide if he wants to pony up and spend the money or save a few bucks at the warranty's expense. In any case, Zzounds would probably take them back or exchange them for you if you were the original buyer.

I've had many transactions with Zzounds over the last few years as well as most of my friends. None of us has ever had a bad experience. Buy with confidence.

I'll bet you $10 it's a cold solder joint.

A friend of mine used to use all Mackie powered speakers (mains & monitors) for his rental stock. He became a dealer and got them at wholesale. It seems like he was always yanking the guts and re-flowing the factory (robot) solder joints with an iron; a few of those times during a gig. He got rid of all the Mackie powered stuff this year, went back to JBL passives with Crown power amps, and it reduced the stress in his life by a ton.

Never had an issue with MF, and i can get stuff in 24hrs or less if i order at the right time with free shipping.

No problems with MF either. 20% off just about everything I order, thanks to all the coupons they send.

If I buy online, it's usually Sweetwater. They have guitar galleries where you can actually pic the exact guitar you want by serial #. Pretty cool. And their customer service is amazing. They actually call you after the item arrives and ask if you're happy or need to return it for any reason.

You are wrong my friend. My buddy the person who bought these contacted Zzounds and they refused. I was in the band with him when these were used and the band broke up so I bought them from him. On the Zzounds website they never said blems or seconds. On the receipt they do, however. These things never left a practice room in the drummers house. Zzounds is known in the industry for selling used/reboxed/blemed/seconds and returns. Believe what you want they wouldn't honor any help for the friend who bought them and they nor Mackie will not warranty them for me for sure. I didn't want shiny new toys at new prices but I was the only person in the band who wanted the speakers and being the singer in the project I opted to buy them. In the end bottom line I "had" purchased items from zzounds for years and now I wont. I will go anywhere else and even pay more. And $900 ain't cheap for shit Mackie monitors that were less than a year old. MF, AMS, GC or even Amazon all have stood by any product I ever had an issue with and Zzounds did not. End of story.

Bought a Soundblox pedal from JRR. Great price and customer service!

I second this, I just bought a couple pieces of recording gear from them and it couldn't have been any better customer service. The one product had a defect out of the box, and sweetwater couldnt have handled it any better. Asked no questions, sent out a new unit that day, arrived 2 days later, and I sent the defective one back in their box.

I would buy from them again.

watch for specials or send eric an email asking if a discount will pop up soon. some people have never had a prob with MF but Ive had the weirdest things happen to me from them. maybe its a location thing I dont know . they have sent me used items several times hoping i wouldnt say anything I guess. wipe it off at least. maybe I wouldnt have noticed.

Well that sucks. This is the first negative thing I've heard about Zzounds. I checked my account there and I have had 22 transactions with them in the last 5 years. Ive done the payment thing with them, made 2 returns due to nothing more than my dissatisfaction with the product (no fault of Zzounds), and bought everything from a $1000 guitar to a $15 order of strings and picks. Every transaction has been great.
Every company has their fuck ups and maybe you just had the bad luck to on the receiving end of theirs that day.
