I have a 2000s Recto with tone set . I DO NOT have any fuzz problems . How are you guys setting it up ?

Besides brams recent clip which is smoother than any I’ve heard, fuzz is the last term I would use to describe hermansson’s, I get kind of confused reading that too

There's a lot of great sizzle in Hermansson amps but yeah fuzz is the last thing I hear in them. They're some of the tightest amps I've ever heard.

I agree man . It’s confusing

I’d say fizzy, not fuzzy in the high end. Micd up its pretty well heard on the recto.

I’ll add I don’t have that issue with the Marshall, unless I put the hair knob, with it up not a fan of the high end at all.

Here’s a recto just boosted with a dirty tree. More my deal.

For whatever it’s worth I always found my Hermansson rectifier was pickier with speakers and cabinets than my Marshall.

Some say they’re fizzy, not fuzzy. In person I don’t get fizz with the ones I had, seems like he’s good about voicing the highs in to be very intense without fizz, but in a close mic’d context many of the clips do sound fizzy. It seems like there’s probably in that context just a very fine line with how to mic it and speaker choices, not sure. I think using EL34’s instead of 6L6’s in them also helps
