Jeff Hilligan

Well-known member
Single channel 50 watt Marshall with the early blue channel. Redone in a original Marshall headshell in purple! No bells or whistles. Just tone! Think Alice n Chains facelift!

Sweet, been wondering about that amp when I saw it in your avatar after reading your posts. Facelift tone was the best tone he had imo, other probably won't agree...regardless Jerry always has good tone.

Can't see the pic

EDIT: THERE it is!!! Oooooooooooooooooh, dead sexy.

Not only my favorite AIC tone ever but possibly my favorite recorded guitar sound ever! So jealous.

Too bad whoever Jeff sold it to is misrepresenting it on eBay. lol. Some guys want things to be more than what they are...

So you know for a fact he is misrepresenting it, you know something about it? As far as I can tell it is what it is. Mike Fortin himself stated in a thread on the main page about this amp that he owned this Marshall and had Bogner mod it in the late 90's to the Blue Channel specs. And as far as it having George Lynch's signature on it, the current owner says himself in the ebay ad he knows nothing about Lynch's sig being on it, oh and that signature was on it before Jeff Hilligan bought it. So maybe I'm missing something, what am I missing? Just curious.

I OWNED that amp for 12 years before selling it to Jeff (so I'm not sure why you feel the need to give me a history lesson on it). The ad alludes that George "may have owned it" (he didn't- I had it signed). He also words it where the casual observer may misinterpret the headshell as being original 1980 when in fact the guy should be aware it is a repro by Marshall. So yeah, the new seller needs to be more honest with the details- especially seeing as Jeff and Mike are honest, stand up people who would not have misled that guy.

Ps- Those are MY photos he is using (I no longer have an eBay account or I'd ask that guy to kindly stop using them). So if anyone knows him, please pass along the message.

Thanks,

Steve

No place in this thread prior to my post did you or anyone else state your history with this amp, I can't read minds nor keep up with every members gear purchases or sales and besides I was asking valid questions...not trying to tell anyone the history of the amp, just relaying what I read in the thread about this amp on the main forum just less than half a week ago.

That said thanks for the info!

Sorry- guess I just got a little irked as I felt you were talking down to me.

And no problem on the info. ;)
