According to UPS, my cabinet has been delivered!! I cannot wait to get home and destroy my neighborhood with it and my Herbert! I will let everyone know how it is compared to the older cabs!!! Im like a kid @ Christmas time!!

Lucky sod. I'm still waiting for mine. (no offence Peter and crew, I know you are working as fast as you can)

I hope you appriciate it and your neighbours don't shoot you!

soooo..
after rushing home from work like a child & disrupting my dining room & EVERYONE in my neighborhood...i can def say without one inklinkg of a doubt that the new cabinets are PHENOMINAL!!! After 5 minutes with this amp it was like falling in love all over again. It took my Herbert to yet another level ( if you could believe it!!) The tone just shoots out of the cabinet & blankets the room. I did AB it with my older Diezel 4X12FL and it smoked it!!! Not even in the same league. Tighter & more responsive than the older one. A little more neutral sounding. Just the cats ass!!! And for a Front Loaded cabinet, boy is it smooth. Not "beamy" at all. and there wasnt one deadspot in the room. Like i said, the tone just shoots out of the cabinet. I have been a V30 user for a long time...but the G12K100's are really awesome. The crew @ Diezel has really outdone themselves!! KUDOS!!! Peter D & Peter S must never sleep to come up with gems like this!!!

And thank you to Terry@ Diezel USA for all his assistance and putting up w/ me buggin him. He did not steer me wrong on getting this cabinet & has been going beyond the call since the day i placed the order!! And also Mr Andy Wood who said I would not be sorry!! and i am not.

If you are even thinking about getting this cab, seriously, just do it!! its more than you will expect! and if anyone has any questions, please feel free to PM me & i will be as helpful as possible!!!

yet another satisfied Diezel Customer ....again!!!!!!

Hmmm, now you have me thinking.

I have on order a 4x12 rear loaded Hempcone and a 4x12 FL V30 (amp is a VH4), but now I'm wondering about the G12K100's instead of the v30's. How do the 2 speakers compare?

Nice, congrats! I'm very curious about these for my VH4.

What kind of stuff do you play?

Have you ever played a Mills Afterburner 4x12?

You are very very welcome and I am glad you are happy and completely satisfied. The new cabs are indeed amazing and I am glad you like them. IMO, there is no other cab/speaker to use for any musical style with the VH4

Hey!
The G12K100 seems a bit more spacious than the V30. V30's have that tight midrange tone to me. The G12K100s seem to be great over the entire frequnecy range. I would think the new cab design has alot to do with that too. If u are getting the Hempcones in the RearLoaded, why not go for the G12K100s in the front loaded. I am guessing the Hempcones would sound great in the rear loaded. You really cant go wrong with this cab. You will be happy.

& DEWD...i play hard rock mostly . Dropped D kinda stuff. I also play alot of rock too. something the cab & Herbert can cover with ease. I have played a Mills Afterburner 4X12. Nice cabinets...but this one is def in a different league...and im not being biased.

My cat sat right next to it as i played...i shoulda took pics!!! he enjoys the lovliness of the Diezels!!!!

Thanks for that Pauly.

To some extent I want a contrast to the Hempcones as I'll use the stack in an either or both config anyway, but part of the decision was that the FL v30 is supposed to be a great match with a Herbie, which is on my shopping list (long way off though). I don't suppose you can do a clip of the herbie on the new cab can you?

As I have said many times before, the G12K100 is a very neutral speaker and incredibly balanced across the tonal spectrum. It produces a very accurate sound of what the amp, guitar, player, pickups, etc. are doing without highlighting or "coloring" one specific area of the tonal spectrum. I am not saying that coloration is necessarily a bad thing. If used to your advantage, at times it can be an enhancement. If used wrong, coloration can be a detriment. IMO, the Diezel amps do so much and bring so much to the table in terms of tonality that it makes little to no sense to color anything after that part in the chain. The G12K100 simply brings to the table what you are putting into it. I really like this speaker for so many things and for so many reasons. It is very tuning friendly as well as guitar friendly not to mention music style friendly. It seems to do everything right and that is a good thing for obvious reasons.

Terry, long time no see my friend, I know you're always lurking around but we miss reading you :)

btw, for a pop-rock guy like myself, obsessed with a nice clean tone and killer blues tones, you recommend the hempcones right?

Very cool. I really want to try one of these and I'm trying to justify spending that much on a cab. If they are as great you guys that have played them say, I guess they would be worth it. Do these cabs have stereo jacks (i.e. can you run 2 amps on 1 cab)?
