A pic of my new Renegade and TM 2x12 with 3 of my babies - a 2008 Anderson Tele/Strat hybrid w/Lollar Blackface neck/mid and Vintage T bridge, a 2008 Gibby LP Traditional w/SD JB/Jazz (yes, I know...), and a 2002 McInturff Royal w Lollar P90s. Yes, the LP has no strings on it - it is undergoing an extreme makeover - it might end up with MCPs in it before it's over...

Nice setup! Looks like you've got all your tonal bases covered there. The Tele can do tele and stratty stuff, the LP rocks, and you got some P90 grind as well. Nice.

Ps. I think it's hilarious that on this forum, you have to post a disclaimer, or an "I know, I know..." if you have Duncans in your guitar.

Yeah, I know the Duncans don't get a lot of love, but I've had the JB / Jazz combination in 2 guitars now - a PRS Custom 22 and this LP - and in spite of the hate, I really like the way those pups sound in certain guitars. They are not a fit for every guitar, but for just straight up LP-style rawk sounds, I really do like 'em... YMMV as they say ;)

Thanks. I really like that Anderson. I originally ordered a Suhr straight-up Hendrix Woodstock-style strat, but when it came in, I just wasn't feeling it like I thought I would. Indoor Storm had that Anderson hanging on the wall for ages, and it had always talked to me, so I swapped out the Suhr for it and couldn't be happier. I did end up switching out the stock Anderson pups - they were his stacked singles - those are pretty pristine sounding pickups, and I really wanted more organic grit, so I switched it to the Lollar Blackfaces and Vintage T, and it was a great move. Sounds killer on the Clean channel of the Renegade.

Unfortunately, I haven't played the LP through the Eggie yet - it's been tore down since before I got the amp :aww: Hopefully I'll get some time to put 'er back together this weekend (leaving the Duncans in there for now). I put a new Tone Pros bridge on it, so I've been waiting on a set of files to come in so I can slot the saddles.

The TCM with the P90s is ridiculous through the Renegade. Those are Lollar's vintage output P90s, but through the Renegade, those things can scream! Heck, I can even get some really good grind out of the Tele bridge pup with the Eggie - go figure!!

I've got a JB/Jazz in my Warmoth Korina Nuno-caster, and those pickups just sound GREAT in that guitar. It's like, I keep looking for a reason to swap them out, and I just can't find one. So they stay.

Lollar P90s are incredible. He's one of the only winders that actually changed up the physical design of the P90, omitting some metal plates, resulting in a more detailed high end. Truly a great pickup. I regret selling mine...

That Anderson is just so cool, because for me, the Tele Neck pickup, and the Strat bridge pickup (in their true vintage stock forms) are some of my least favorite tones.* But that Anderson really takes the best of each guitar, and puts it into one axe. So cool.

* That being said, I DO like overwound or telefied Strat bridge pickups, and brighter tele neck pickups.

have to say the new duncans def do t sou d as good and aren't as good of a build quality as they used to be IMHO. I used to love the jb back in the day. But suhr mcp and vareknuckles did that in for me. As well as my emgs. Emgs are probably my island pickups still. My flame sparkle strat with 81tw sa and slv with the spc knob and master vol / tone is still my favorite setup. Ask jngman69 about that gtr. Even Pete thorn dug it. :)

I've always really liked the McIntruff guitars. They always play and sound superbly. That finish is nice on the Royal.
