My RG770 is the SHIT

Greetings :)
I love my RG770. By far, my favorite guitar. Granted, I don't have dozens to choose from, so singling one out is relatively easy, but it's the only guitar I ever bought that felt perfect out of the box. I've never adjusted anything on it - neck, bridge, spring tension - nothing. Sure it has that gawdy 80's look - but that's right in my wheelhouse. My Sirius is locked on to Hair Nation

It has a wide, flat neck that is reasonably forgiving to my clumsy ass fingers and with a set of 9's, it's, well, it's a little slice of Hair Metal heaven. I know it's nothing special or particularly valuable, but it doesn't matter. It just works...

That is all ;)

Thats a great guitar man. gaudy my butt! Its pretty tasteful if you ask me ;) I just recently purchased my first golden era RG550 and I love it as well. Those necks are WAY better then prestige necks they have out now, thats for darn sure.

Thank you, sir

I haven't played it as much lately as I would like. Our singer wanted to drop everything a 1/2 step, so I have been playing my Les Paul. I didn't want to mess with adjusting the RG because it just works so well the way it is. I looked at the case last night and thought "come to Papa" (I had a couple of beers...) and ripped off some Dokken.

I have the exact same guitar (RG770DX) in red like yours. It is a great instrument.

When I got that one and realized how much I liked it, I tried to find a blue one. I haven't been able to - at least not at a reasonable price...

Good luck with the search...

I'd love to add a few more. It would be great to have a set of them for gigs that had consistent playability and feel. One in standard tuning, one in drop-D, one a 1/2 step down, etc.

Very cool guitar...love the red. I had a purple one back in the day...wish I would have held on to it.

But, gaudy in a VERY cool way...

i still love my RG520qs. bought it new in 2001. it has satch dimarzio's in it now, but i think it's gonna end up with a set of duncan blackouts.
i love the weight and sound of mahogany. it's small, but heavy and tough as hell lol.

Love my 565 and 550x, fun guitars to play.

Would love to have a 770

I have an RG760 1989 heather,

I had a DG RG760 and a Jem FP years ago and was trying to get back there- but it no longer suits me.. If anyone knows someone looking with all this RG love! let me know __

I saw on Ibanez rules the Gilberts are catching serious dough-- The only 'edge guitar' I kept was a Reb Beach model___ The Edge might be the best trem

After all those years- The stock pick ups seemed kinda wonky too me though but of course those axes are great
