Just finished converting my partscaster into a EVH tribute. Warmoth neck, Fender body, Gotoh trem, Hipshot locking tuners, BK VHII humbucker.

Guitar kick arse!

Here is my EVH rig:

Wow.

Super cool. Love the guitar insert jack - never seen that before. I bet it sounds killer. Clippy?

Oh. Never mind. I have a Fender too. I didn't realize it was a 90 degree plug. I thought maybe you had done some rerouting

Not EVH playing, but a quick test. I'll post an EVH style clip later:

Spring popped out. I forgot to make sure they were seated properly when I reinstalled the trem...
How do you get that non floyd to stay in tune after using whammy? I asume you have locking tuners and blocked the bridge with decent tension on springs?

Not blocked. It's floating with two springs. Hipshot locking tuners.

I had Jerry Bizon from Luxxtone/SIS do a full set up. He cleaned up the nut slots, leveled and polished the frets. He installed the trem initially. It's one of the new Gotoh 510 FE trems. Very smooth and I can pull up and down quite a bit. He did a little extra routing in the trem cavity.

Jerry was EVH's in-house luthier for Eddie. He knows how to set up trems and the rest awesomely!

Sweet! Enjoy it!

Love it! Was the paint jog that hard? Did you repaint the black or go yellow on top of the existing finish and then clear coat it? I've been thinking about doing this. I like that it has the classic trem and not a floyd!

It's not a paint job, it's automotive pin stripe tape. I guess you can say I cheated....lol...
