I just bought my first Engater a week ago off of Craigslist.I loved the amp it was what I have been looking for and saving for,for the last year.It had the most incredible sound i felt completely attached to my guitar. The thing is though I only got to enjoy it for one day because the very next day it started to blow the mains fuse.I took out the power tubes (KT77's) and it still blows as soon as I turn on the power? I really hope it is not the power transformer I cannot afford to change that now.Any ideas guys? Thanks in advance.

Really sorry to hear that. Do you have a return privledge? If so, use it!!

No unfortunately I bought the amp off of Craigslist. It worked fine at the guys house and when I brought it home so Idk?But I think I learned my lesson,to not buy anything off of Craigslist that is gonna cost me a nice chunk of change. Thanks for your concern though.

I have the same problem. Under warrantee, no reponse from Egnater. You should have a 'tech' at least check Filter Caps & Diodes before flipping for a new p/t..

Search the forum. Tweaker 40 = bad PT. My 40 lost it twice!

Pleased to announce we have a new customer service person (Josh) who will help remedy the communication issues. Please email him at Josh@egnateramps.com if you have any new or lingering issues.
