My ZOOM MS-50G died on me. What's your experience with it?

So, I have a Zoom Multistomp MS-50g in my pedalboard as a wild card pedal for the FX loop for 2 years already. I love it because:
- The fact that you can power it with 9V,
- The small footprint (super important)
- Transparent bypass
- Cool sounds (I don't use the distortions or amp modeling)

Turns out the pedal out of the blue decided to shit the bed. It froze, got silent, no response to any button/knob/switch. Now when I turn it on it just shows the ZOOM logo on the screen and that's about it. It turns on but it doesn't boot.

I tried to install a new firmware, tried to restore factory settings, to no avail. My PC doesn't "see" it when i connect it through USB.

Now I don't know what to do. I cannot find another pedal that can replace it, be it because of power supply, footprint, sounds, etc. I'm on the fence about buying another MS50g, but I wonder if it will also die on me after some time.

I've searched A LOT on the internet for testimonies of the MS-50g having this kinda sudden death, but I have not found a single horror story about it. Not even one, which led me to believe I just got veeeery bad luck.

So, what's your experience with the pedal, reliability-wise? Should I just get another one?
Thanks guys

Sorry to hear about that bro! I used to have the same model. I really liked some effects and the compact size! Maybe you should just find a used one at a fair price!

Thanks for the reply, pal.
Used one: that's my most likely scenario.
Just 2 questions:
So, for how long did you have it, more or less?
Did you have any reliability issue with it?

CHEERS!

I actually like my boss GT1 a lot. Runs on batteries, fits in any gig bag, etc.

Anytime my Chilean friend! I had had it for about a year before I ended up selling it in pristine condition! I don't gig - bedroom - studio player. No issues whatsoever. It's about 100 euros new here

Anyone else cares to share their MS50g experience?
Cheers!
