It arrived Thrusday, but I didn’t have time to really check it out until the weekend

This is the short box, non-reverb head.

Wow, what an amp!

I ran it into my Friedman vertical 2x12 loaded with a Scumback BM75/ M75 mix, and it really nails the modded Marshall vibe.

Super responsive to rolling down the guitar volume, very touch sensitive and dynamic.

While it’s a basic single channel amp, there are some really useful features to tweak how the amp responds. The tone switch let you go from JTM to Plexi to JMP tone stacks, and the gain structure switch is really useful to dial up straight gain, and then add in clipping diodes to increase the saturation/ gain and tighten things up.

The hybrid master is really effective to let you keep the same tone/ response at any volume level. I don’t know HOW it works, but it’s one of if not the best master volume I’ve used.

Great tube buffered FX loop too. My Carbon Copy and Micropitch sounded great, and I was able to use my Xotic Super Clean as a volume boost for solos.

What really struck me was the clarity and detail even at high gain levels. No mush at all, or harsh frequencies- it’s like modded Marshall in 4k! Even hitting the front end with a Lovepedal COT/ Eternity resulted in more gain/ compression/ tonal shift but the clarity was still there. My Deja Vibe, Phase 95, and wah sounded fantastic too.

I’ve been fortunate to own some nice amps (Dr Z, Soldano, PWE, Friedman, Marshall) and I am SUPER impressed with this amp! The real test will be next weekend’s gig.

Stay tuned!
