Happy Friday everyone,

Just got delivery of a Monomyth Skeleton Key amp, and im absolutely in love with this thing. My Cameron clone still sounds like a beefed up Marshall, which is great; but this thing is a total fire breathing, modern high gain amp.

Hitting the front with a Mesa Flux Five, and a Master Effects PMEQ in the loop. Cab is an oversized Emperor with Weber 65s. Didnt even bust out my noise gate here, which i do plan on using. Pretty quiet considering the amount of gain im using.

Guitar is an older Ibanez RG7421 MIJ with Lundgren Black Heaven pickups. Vintage Meshuggah riffage because why not? Haha. Enjoy!

Do you even chug, bro?

Seriously, that sounds massive! Great stuff!

Congrats, its cool when something new inspires ya and meets or exceeds expectations! They are cool amps indeed.

Awesome. Sounds killer. It's a great amp. I almost sold mine, but I got to messing with it and now really like it. It has way too much gain and can get out of control if you don't dial it right.

here's a video of mine...note the gain setting. lol

You filthy slut...is that another granophyre I see hidden on the side? I'm assuming v1.5 since you owned and sold the 1st one. How do you like it? Is it really a big improvement or just a half step up like it claims?

Yeah. I got another one. lol. It's a 1.5

I do like this one better. I can't say exactly how different it is without having them side-by-side, but this one doesn't have a nasal/quack quality to the mids that the last one did. Seems to have a little much low end punch too.

Like we chat before you got your SK, I almost listed mine immediately because of how out of control it can be. High gain input is too much and the blood switch or whatever boost switch on back is so overgained/compressed its silly. But then I experimented into low gain input, fire switch in the position that gives the least gain/fattest tone, amp gain set low, boosted with the right OD and its awesome. Like I mentioned, I get a tone/response that is reminiscent of how I used to set my Wizards...like the amp is ready to come apart at the seems, in a good way.

I do need to revisit the high gain input without a boost and tweaking to see what I can coax out of it because I gave up on it day one and never went back.

im trying to compose music for several projects and this is exactly what i needed. Cool to support small companies as well. Thanks!!

Right on!!! Great choice of riffage. Uploads like yours helped me with my decision. Man, im hitting the front with an od and loop with an EQ, im always looking for more gain. I have since tweaked the SK further, and now my gain is on 3:00. This amp is a beast and definitely needs to be tamed.

I didnt get great results the first time i fired the amp up, had to wait until later in the day to get to serious tweaking. Getting ridiculous results now after spending more time with the amp, and watching an episode of Tone Talk with Shea describing all of the switches.

Can you post a link to that Tone Talk you mentioned
