Finally here!
I have had about 15 min to play on it, but so far, I'm glad I made the purchase and waited.

The amp and cab are both incredible looking. I'm going to do some videos of the amp and cab individually, and then paired. Can't really say this thing sounds like anything else.

The voicing switch really shifts the mids to 2 different places. I tend to like more mids, but on this amp, the voicing switch up, which focuses the mids lower, really gets my gravy flowing. Very barky in the mids, with a lot of highs on top as well. The amp can get too bright in a hurry, but easy to fine tune between the high EQ and the "detail" on the power amp controls.

Chugs are big, yet still have a metallic clank. Between the depth and bass knobs, all the low end you could possibly need. Simplicity at it's finest here. I'm a one trick dickhead, and I do that trick poorly, but this amp works perfectly for my needs. I've always said I'd be right at home on a simple, one channel high gainer, and I love that this is exactly what this amp is.

This rig is sexual:

Interesting looking amp - I look forward to see a vid soon!

Nice!
My favorite Neural plug-in. Would love to play the real thing.
Found a killer capture of an Obsidian that's scratching the itch.

Love the flat black paint on top of the course wood texture.
Got a Strandberg with the same finish.

You should share that Obsidian capture with me :)

Looks awesome. I owned a Granophyre for a bit. Killer amp.

That’s a sharp looking amp for sure. Nice score, glad you’re digging it,
You may be a one trick dickhead, but you’re a clean player with a nice pick attack, you dial in killer toanz, and your audio sounds great. So keep it up, OTD.

Looks great. I just noticed the cab's speakers are offset like a rhombus instead of a square. Any idea why?

Congrats! That is a good looking amp. These have always intrigued me.

Part of their special design! They put a lot of engineering into their cabs. I can't go into why, as I honestly don't know, but it's part of the signature sound.

How was the purchase process? I have been interested for a long time, especially in the cabinets, but have seen some mixed reviews of the communication and don't know how seriously to take that sort of thing.

I also own an Omega Granophyre and 2x12 cab. The wait was a bit longer than normal due to Covid but my communication with both Mike and Paul, was never an issue. When I was feeling impatient, I would shoot a message and they would always respond in a timely manner and answer my question the best I felt they could.

Congrats on the new Omega rig, just finished watching your live YT video from yesterday. Sounds really good, I really liked the sound of the Gibson Studio through the amp.

Hey man! Order process was fine for me. I spoke mostly with Paul De Maio, who had excellent communication with me. Answered all my questions within a day, and sometimes right away.

The process took longer than they promised, but I honestly figured that would happen with everyone struggling with lead times. The only issue I had was the stereo jack plate on my cab not being included, but to be totally fair to them, I ordered at the same time with a friend and it made the process a bit confusing so I wasn't sweating it.

I waited 3 months for the cab and 5 months for the amp, but I never got the impression they were dicking around or blowing me off. Communication with both Michael and Paul was great

I assume in impacts the phasing/comb filtering of the speakers. I know a lot of bass cab designs want to use a vertical, linear array of speakers to present clearer bass, so maybe slightly offsetting them like that helps.

Some manufacturers go so far as to use a cross-over/high-pass to cut the bass going half the speakers if the speakers are aligned horizontally side-by-side. I'd be curious to hear that applied to a guitar cab. It would leave the mid-range to interact with the phase/comb-filtering effect that seems to thicken up a 4x12 but might give super clear/tight low end.

Very cool, thanks. That's not a bad wait at all condiering everything going on. I hope you enjoy it. I've heard a lot of great clips from Omega gear.

I have seen crossovers in bass cabs, but not guitar cabs. Considering the bulk of guitar cabs have a square speaker layout for the past 60 years, it would be interesting to see if there is anything to this idea.

You have to pay for the entire amp up front when you order dont you? I know there isnt anything to worry about there but I never feel comfortable doing that for something that has a wait time. I feel like a 50% deposit is the fair way to go. I am amped out at the moment and I didnt like the Neural plug but I would love to try one of these in person. There is a very small number of amps that have my curiousity peaked and this is one of them.

@Bad.Seed

Here's the Strandberg I mentioned with the similar finish.
I'm surprised more builders don't use this.
