Well the sell down continues of extra amp gear.

I have been settling into my main rig and finding all the sounds I need in this much more compact, "gigable" rig. If I cant get what I need out of this rig I need to hang it up.

Still exploring the amp and the tones with the board but so far there is not anything I cant get out of this set up.

I can honestly say this is the first time in about 5 years I am gas free. Not that I dont see a ton of cool stuff on the forums and ebay and while I say wow thats cool I have zero desire to buy it.

Anyway, thanks Pete Thorn and John Suhr for this head.

My Rig Consists of the following:

Suhr CAA PT100 Head (White/Gold)
Suhr CAA 2x12 Cabinet (White/Gold) VIntage 30's

Trailer Trash Glow Top Board with the following on it.

RMC Wizard Wah
Korg Tuner
Xotic BB Preamp
Xotic AC Overdrive
Xotic RC Boost
MI Audio Crunch Box
TREX Roommate Reverb
Eventide ModFactor
Eventide Timefactor
X2 Wireless.

Congratulations ..... :)

Funny ..... this is one of the few amps I still want to check out.

After another several hours with it last night I am really getting into what it can do and I am thrilled with the tones coming out it.

Very nice Fender blackface style cleans, the 2nd channel is where I live with AC/DC grind all the way up to GnR and the third channel is face melting but still articulate.

The FX loop (This has the new solid state switchable loop) is the best one I have ever used, near transparent. Also the 2x12 with V30's sounds huge. Suhr and the boys have a winner with this version of the OD100.

Sounds killer ..... Fender, Marshall, Face-melt .....

I have been thinking of selling a few amps that I do not use much and pick up one that does a lot of voices well. Very short list ..... this one I well need to check out before I choose.

My THD stuff and the vintage stuff at my Dads is going no place. But everything else I could see replacing with just one.

What are you down to Brad ?
This and Axe Fx Rig ?

Yes thats it for stuff I am keeping.

Still have a pile waiting to get adopted.

Thanks Brad .....

I kind of figure with a guy like you your ear has become very fine tuned or blown out to the point where everything kind of sounds the same ?

I am half deaf but I can still hear well enough to know if something sounds killer or like balls.

Me too. I wonder how many around here are the same ?

Would CAA company allows the PT100 to have the 6L6 or KT88 tube option? i have also seen the depth and presence control over at the back panel for the OD100SE would it allow on the PT100 as well.. ? :D

It has a presence control and a switch called whomp which is similar to a depth control.

To me the 34's give it that hot rodded Marshall sound which I prefer and which I believe they were going for with the PT100

Next few gigs I have are corporates from memory...Asian Civilisations Museum next Wed, I know that for sure...anyway, towards the end of the month I think I have a couple of small pub gigs, will let you know and you can come down and check out the PT100 in the flesh if you like.....

Pete

Yep great looking set up. Congrats!
Its next on my amp list. :D

Let me start off by saying awesome looking rig and I'll bet it sounds great! You obviously have put a lot of time and effort into this setup.

I have a PT100 on order that should be delivered the first week of December as well as a 2X12 CAA cab. My question for you is how do you have your effects setup into the loop of the PT100? Are the effects such as delay, reverb, chorus, etc. together into the loop and OD devices into the front end or how do you have your pedals broken up? I have never used the effects loop of any amp I've had so I am going to try it when I get the CAA and was wanting to set things up right from the start.

Thanks for any help you can send this way and once again you have a setup one should live to get!
