Amp ho
Well that took a lot longer to get my hands on than I thought. Had three different sellers change their mind at the last second. I ended up paying a little more than I would have if I had just been patient but I was getting restless.

Now for the amp: it's a rev blue in excellent shape. It's newer but haven't taken the time to figure out what year it is. It's pre comet tolex.

Didn't take me long to get some rockin tones. I love saggy amps and this is a prime example of one. It's addictive to me. It's strange how it's smooth but simultaneously aggressive. Lots of fun! The clean channel is more than decent...I don't get the complaints.

Pics and clip:
Here's a short clip...nothing special. This amp was made for drop d riffing:

Sounds good! What were you using to record it with?

Thanks man. It's a zoom something or other. Can't remember the model number. Think it was 100 bucks new. Might try another position this weekend. As always..the clip doesn't do the sound in the room justice. That thing was cranked and sounding gnarly. Love it. Needs new tubes though.

Sounds like an uberschall Rev blue ;)
You must hear the Green :D

Wouldn't be an Uberschall thread without a comment like that from you ;)

If this thing continues to please me for a significant amount of time I'll look into previous revisions.

Good luck for finding one. make sure to back up the presence for a modern sounding.

Great sounds, I too own a rev blue & love it! I keep seeing people say that the Rev 2 is much better, or the twin jet. Not to my ears(based only on videos & sound clips) I've never seen or heard a rev 2 or TJ in person, so I could easily be wrong on that.

Of all the sound clips and videos I've heard this one has THE best sound & it appears to be a Rev blue!

i want to try an uber

As with many amps, if you haven't heard one in person then you've never actually heard one. No matter how many recordings or videos you watch you'll never be able to understand how it projects sound. If you get an Uberschall you also will need an Uberkab. Without the Uberkab it's just not the same. The way it projects sound is like 3D sound, the sound has a presence that I've not heard from any other amp. The tone seems like it's coming from everywhere. Very hard to explain.

When the guy I bought mine from came over initially he brought only the head. I played it through my Krank cabinet and crate Vintage 30 filled cabinet and was not impressed at all. He then recommended I play it through the Uberkab. He brings them both over and I literally played it for under 30 seconds before I told him I would take it.

That's awesome, I know what you mean. I mainly play a Splawn Nitro, and have 5150s, an Archon, Rivera Ktre... For the nitro the clips never did it justice. Sounds huge in person. Just bought a Friedman BE, was a hard time choosing between the BE and JJ.

I have both an Uber Rev Blue and Rev 2, both are amazing, just slightly different in the voicing. I've never gotten the complaints that people make about the blue. Is the green/rev 2 better? Depends on what you want in a sound. I love em both. I sometimes say the Blue is a little more Marshall in it's mids, and the rev green/2 is a little more compressed Dual Rec in it's mids. I play my blue for all rock gigs, and my green/2 for all metal gigs. The green has a different gain taper, but I find the blue overall to be louder. I run my Blue with KT77's and it crushes most amps on the market. My Rev 2/green is just a different animal. Both are amazing, and have an underrated clean. The knobs can be pretty sensitive to settings, so it's uber-easy (see what I did there?) to change it up and get a completely different sound with small changes. Love these amps man!

The Rev blue is literally similar to the Rev2.
I have found the Rev blue a bit brighter and less organic less sag less brutal less low end.
The Rev2 is fucking beyond the insanity and you will notice the difference right away. Huge low end, compressed mids with sweet and more treble. It's an extreme brutal Amp that owns them ALL. It was made by the mad scientist himself and not the mass production ;)

There isn't even a need for as much bottom end as the rev blue has, no clue why you would need/want more. I have lows at 12 o'clock & sometimes i have to turn that down when turning up the volume
