Well I finally found the amp to end all amps, went through quite a few before getting to this point.

So I got my new amp and the first thing I did was replace the back panel with a clear 1/4 acrylic one that I milled on my router table, when you walk into my home studio the back of the amp is the first thing that you see PLUS the inside of the VH4 is a work of art so why not highlight it.

The second thing I did was build a custom LED chandelier (I guess that's what to call it for lack of better term) to house 6 high intensity LED's.

It turned out OK, I was hoping for a more intense effect, I may re-due and add more LED's

Here are the pics:

Kinda cool.

But hey, the Mona Lisa don't need lipstick ;)

Uncle Mo

It is and for some stroke of luck it sells - I will buy another right away..
I also have a Engl Invader listed - will not buy another if that sells.

So are you selling it to make a profit? And then buy another?
Seems a bit strange...

And for a shit load more than it would cost to get one from Peter himself?
I don't get it....

Mainly I just put it out there to show off the crazy LED mod BUT if it sells great "another sold Diezel amp".

NAD to sale on Ebay in 24 hours

Personally, you'd have to pry my Diezels from my cold, dead hands.......

So...are you saying you're not really trying to sell it, and priced it not to sell, but you won't argue if there's someone out there that actually wants to pay $600 over the cost of a new one? Obviously, it's yours and you can try to sell it for whatever you want, I'm just curious how you came up with that number...

I decided I really really don't want to sell so I removed from Ebay.

Thanks for everyone's opinion.

If anyone has a better LED design for the VH4 I could possibly make it and make an extra one to give you.

Cheers..

Power tube light is the best light!

Am i the only one who doesn't want a VH4 all lit up like a xmas tree?
Maybe i am just a Set it & play it type o' guy?

Also gotta mention that VH4's do get hot after a while and that little gap in the back panel is on the small size?

As mentioned, the Mona Lisa don't need lipstick. The Sistine Chapel don't need graffiti. Masterpieces require nothing more than appreciation for what they are. Amps are supposed to dictate their worth through their tone - not what they look like. That said, it's a damn fine thing Peter and Peter make 'em look kinda hot and dead sexy otherwise there'd be a world of puritan guitarists schlepping ugly-as-sin amps around - but equally as satisfied in their performance. We'd schlep 'em around because, at the end of the day, they're Diezels :D :salute:

So you just got one of the best amps ever made and the first thing you do is put LED's in it?

LED's imo only look good in Engls.
