Outage spikes on every major network nationwide over the last 3 hours...
All wireless services were out throughout my area thinking it was related to these strong winds.
Maps show this is a nationwide event on every major wireless and cellular network.
Fuck.

Strong winds knocked out the wireless network..

This reminds me of the time eggs caused myocarditis.

That weather balloon?
It's just really strange, I thought because the wind was really bad it took down the node tower in my rural area. But every network across the country has had reports of severe outages from what I've found. Just odd. It's odd. Am I nuts?

Google is telling me that it appears to be mostly T-Mobile. Wind knocking a tower over would be bad for wireless. Wind by itself is not an issue for wireless. There were some other general threats of outages for today (I think). Power grid and mobile phone attacks maybe? I did get a fake FB message that had a sneaky FB domain I almost clicked on.

The bumps in outage took place all at the same time. Each separate map for individual carriers show nationwide reports. This affected all forms in my area.

wow.
you're not kidding
that does look carrier agnostic
web attack? DDOS?
I stand corrected

Not sure if bad actor or what was going on. Possibly planned by carriers in conjunction with FCC or something to determine grid reboot times? Not trying to start conspiracies at all. I would guess the later wouldn't be totally announced to prevent the former from jumping on the opportunity to interfere. I just found it odd, and have contacted a few family friends and associates who some responded with similar issues on both coasts and some without known issue. Only posted to see if others had any issues or thoughts.

Reports say Tmobile and "3rd Party Fiber node." I don't have Tmobile or share most network modes with them. A single fiber node/link couldn't possibly cause this issue with all major carriers across the country. I do find it odd that Tmobile is the only one to be reported, and that life is mostly business as usual with few whispers. Main links in Virginia and a couple places in California come to mind that could possibly cause this, but even then it would spill into other countries significantly. Those places are likely to be among the most guarded in the world.

DDOS and or web based attacks aren't likely, imo with modern smart grid routing. This would require on the ground effort to physically severe links or possible fire, if it was done in malice. But I feel like(hope) it was an internal test and no huge reason to talk about it. Still strange. I guess if no one notices or complains, why talk about it? Anyway, probably nothing.

… I really hope you’re right, Funk’n Metal, but, I don’t think it’s ‘probably nothing’.
Hope it’s all just random?🤔
