I'm a new Diezel owner and I want to thank Will a.k.a. Cyndicate for selling me this amp! Couldn't be happier with it so far, except I can't get channel 2 to sound the way I want but I have'nt spent a whole lot of time fiddling with it. I've gone thru a shitload of amps over the past year or so looking for something that could replace my beloved rectifier. It was a great amp but the lead tone was kinda sterile. What I was looking for was something real heavy when playing rhythm but sang like a Marshall for leads and I think I may have found it and then some. I was so excited that I cut a video with my new Kodak Zi6 to celebrate. I can never think of anything to play when I record these stupid things so it's mainly some mindless babbling :D The volume is less than bedroom level and the low-end still distorted the camera mic. I guess I need to roll back the deep knob for videos...nahhh!

Thanks. I love it. EL34s. When unpacked it and took the bubble wrap out of the inside of the head, I think the manufacturer was TAD. Doesn't ring a bell to me. The cabinet is a Mesa Recto 2x12 w/vintage 30s. I'm thinking about a Diezel Cabinet now. I found a somewhat ragged out looking used one at a local store and the asking price is $499! I think its a rearloaded cab w/v30's. I know the price is right, but will it make that big of a difference???

I used to have a Mesa 2x12. I had it alongside my Bogner 4x12 and whilst the Einstein sounded very good through the Mesa, the Bogner blows it away IMO. You shouldn't be disappointed with the Diezel as by all accounts they're pretty similar.

Man that sounds great, love your playing. A couple of those squawks in the beginning of the vid sounded like the squawks from the band practice at the beginning of 'Rockstar'. Very Zakkish.

Love the amp man.

Wow, Thanks. I just got this camera and was pretty happy with the quality despite it's $138 price tag. I think I will spend a little more time rehearsing something decent and post some better vids. I also plan to have some of guitar chums who can really wail play through this thing and get those posted as well. I love that movie btw

gonna have to dial the depth almost off to record without all that low end flub.

if you dont want to do that, then you need to decouple the cab from the floor, amp stand or even chair works good for that.

Do you think putting wheels on it would get it high enough of the floor? I was also thinking about getting one of those Auralex risers...

Does it make a big difference??? i own a Mesa 2x12 too, and i've not been able to try it on another cab so... I've read some people around here telling the same about Mesa cabs (good cabs, but other ones make the Diezels amps sing ;))

Regards!
