Cool to see where this amp gets around to.
Yeah, it's dark and bright at the same time. It's weird, but it's a wonderful weird. I use mine for hard rock.Top 10 amp for me. You can play most any style with this amp, boosted or not. Feel as good as anything, and the voicing is unique yet familiar. Like a darker modded 2203/4, with a smooth quality like an SLO...but still sounding raw/open. It's like the low mids are smooth and the rest isn't.

One thing I do remember doing with one of the older ones was using an A/B/Y with it and a Mesa Mark IV. I was able to get the Mark IV very close to the Naylor.
If I ever do Naylor again, I'd opt for Superdrive over Duel, and just use low input when I want cleans. It would be cool if the inputs were foot switchable, but there would be a significant volume difference. This is one of those amps I've had a few times ... and wish I'd held on to. The OD channel is fantastic.
I do wish the clean channel on the Duel had evolved to be a little more useful- I found it too bland to use for anything. Imo, being able to switch the Hi/Lo inputs would have been more practical.
The 2 SD60s I had, cleaned up better than any amp I've ever played when it comes to getting a good clean from a 1 ch amp with 2204+ levels of gain. Even better than a VHT D60 which is also very good in that dept.If I ever do Naylor again, I'd opt for Superdrive over Duel, and just use low input when I want cleans.
