I was highly recommended this book as a comprehensive resource on the sort of passive networks in guitar amps. Just got it in the mail, looking forward to reading it! It's old enough that it still has discussions for tube circuits, but new enough to cover transistor circuits as well. Neat! I was going to put this in the tech talk section, but that seems like it's more for questions, builds, etc.

Okay, so 7704A is referencing an oscilloscope? You should check your local library to see if they ever have sales. Got a bunch of old electronics books once for like $1 a piece when they got newer editions of them. Cool stuff. Mostly have used the reference in microcontroller builds, not amps though.

Bingo. Tek 7704A. Scored one at a reasonable price, and started accruing modules. Incredible service manual. Love it.

Ooo, I'll keep that in mind! I try to keep my feelers out for recycling opportunities like that. Every now and again I get lucky.
