NED (New Egnater Day)

I just got my M4 in the mail. It has a JTM45, TWIN, and 2 BMANs. I am really digging the twin, and bman. The JTM45 needs a boost to get to the levels where I like it, but I swear I could play that twin module by itself for hours!!!!!!

If only that were a 2 channel BMAN, I would have bought it from you YESTERDAY!!! :D

I bet it sounds killer.

Have you decided on a high gain module for that bad boy yet?

I don't know what I want to get yet. I have to do some more research, and I am thinking about trying to find something that sounds similar to my Peters Warhawk since that channel is so wicked cool. It is very similar to the Chimera which has some sound clips at http://www.petersamplification.com/index2.htm

I also made a clip of it at https://soundclick.com/share?songid=7193445

I am not sure if there is an Egnater, or randall module that covers that area. Anyone have any recommendations??

The double kick in that clip is obscene! hahaha.

That's a pretty dark and heavy tone there. but it could just be the clip.

In MY opinion, the EG5 would be too bright.

The EG3/4 is darker, but probably too "polite" of a module for that style of music.

That double kick is from an exafro drum jam over at HC. I didn't bother to re-eq the drums since I wrote, recorded, and mixed it in about an hour. That is all single track except at the end. That warhawk breaths some fire!!!

some of the better recorded clips that I like the guitar tones of are from Peters web site are Gryphon clip 5, Chimera clip 1. I have actually been thinking about selling off all of my other amps, and getting a Peters custom made for me. But I will give the Egnater a shot first.

FYI. There's a Peters 50-watt Gryphon on the Gear Classifieds here. The Gryphon sounds really good on those clips.

I saw that Gryphon in the classifieds. I don't think that he would be interested in a trade with cash. I am not working right now, and on a bit of a budget. Also if I was going to spend that much on an amp I would probably have James make one for me. He can do different voicings with the boost switches etc. I think that I will probably try some different modules first, and see where it goes from there.

I'm getting a Treadplate in a few days. I'll throw up some clips when it does.
