Hello Egnater Folks,

I've been trying to get a repair return authorization via telephone and email, but you've not responded. I saw that some folks get responses from Egnater people on this forum and am desperate to get my amp fixed so I registered here so I could try contacting you this way as well.

I have a Tweaker 40 head that started blowing the mains fuse inside the IEC connector for no apparent reason. I spoke to Nate on the phone (nb - the only way I could get him on the phone after trying for about three weeks was to call Guitar Center and have them shake your tree) and he gave me instructions for getting a repair return authorization to get it sent in and fixed. I sent the info via emails, I've called, I submitted via the web form on the Egnater web site, and have yet to see any further response over the past three weeks.

If anyone who works at Egnater is reading this and can help, I'd sure appreciate any meaningful assistance you might be able to provide in finally getting this matter resolved; please PM me here.

Thanks,

Chris

Just got an email from Nate Williams at Egnater on this. Hopefully, its on its way to getting resolved.

Egnater folks, ask yourself what customers think when an amp they shell out $600 for shits the bed about 6-8 weeks after they bought it and then they feel compelled to put a post on a public internet forum because there doesn't appear to be any other effective way to get a response out of you. "We're busy" isn't an explanation that satisfies in this case.

Nate gave me four options on where to send it in for repair; Egnater (Los Angeles), Aerotek Design Labs (Chicago), Third Coast Guitar Service (Chicago), or Midwest Audio (Chicago). He gave me the Chicago options because I'm in the midwest. When he asked where I wanted to send it, I wasn't familiar enough with the options to be able to make an informed decision; since I did a little research on them today, I figured I'd post the info for others' future reference.

Aerotek is "an aerospace technology company serving the needs of the commercial and general aviation marketplace".

Third Coast is a guitar & amp maintenance/service/modification shop. Just guitars and amps.

Midwest Audio is "the place to bring your electronic equipment for repair. Whether your home theater is malfunctioning, or you are a performer and your professional music equipment is poorly performing, we can repair it!"
