First off, forgive me for the shitty direct-in acoustic...I've been working on this all day, and I haven't had a chance to head to the studio to track it for real.

I need opinions on the song overall, and the lead in the song. I pulled a bit no-no for me and tracked the lead before vocals were written or laid down. As this is my first serious composition since I was fired from my last band/dropped from the label, I'm trying to make sure this is as good as it can be.

I'm really not a huge lead player, but I'm hoping this conveys some sort of emotion. I'd rather go for that than pure speed.

Tear it apart, guys.

...Now I just need to find a real drummer and a fucking vocalist.

I really like your song. The part before the solo where the bass wandered a bit threw off the groove for me but the solo was fine. Bring it up more in the mix but it was played clean and tasty which is better than fast and sloppy every time. Emotion is better than technique IMO but I like a balance of both. I thought you played it well.
Best wishes!

Cool tune. The sound quality is very good. I see where youre going with the lead and think think thats cool. I like the little tail of the solo. The rest of the solo id maybe not walk up and down soo much and maybe use some heavy delay. Otherwise the sounded really cool. Some killer melodic vox will make this thing a hit

Calm down till the end then? That I can do hahaha.

Know any killer, dedicated singers around Chicago? I haven't found shit in the past couple months.

nah. My buddy just joined coyote bring fire. Used to sing for OTF. Good singers are tuff to find round Chicago

I really liked the song! The lead was good and it was not played beyond your ability. All is good here! Killer distorted tones what did you use?

I've been using Amplitube 3 for my demos recently and I'm really digging it. It's a bit of a CPU hog, but it's damn versatile and sounds good enough for me when I'm writing and working things out.

Used my PRS Custom 22 and PRS Mushok Baritone.
