Hey,

So the word is.. A friend of mine has had an Old Marshall Amp in his attic for years. I asked him about it today, and he sent me some pics.. It appears to be a JMP. I was pretty stumped. Seems too good to be true.. A JMP in your attic?

Heres some pics though.

It appears to be a JMP Master Model 50w Mk2 Lead. I'm no real expert on these.. What's the 411 on it? Are they desirable.. I think he's goinna bring it down and we're goinna give it a go. How much would it be worth?

Thanks

We need to know what the first letter of the serial number is to pin point the exact year.

Its a MAster Volume JMP, but it doesnt have rocker switches... Which makes me thinks its a Mid 70's Master Volume JMP but the Canadian version. Of course thats just a guess. :)

The old style headbox with a small logo, the script on the chassis as well as the newer style elephant tolex leads me to believe that this is a transitional head from about late 1976.

The Canadian heads differ from this one in the fact that they have a third toggle switch on the faceplate for polarity, which this head lacks. --I've also seen and played through a similar transition head from 1976 that utilised the same headbox and tolex as the one above, but with the addition of the larger modern logo. That head was a Canadian version with the polarity switch.
