I play my Egnater Renegade trough a PC OS 2x12" with V30's. Now I want to add two homebuild 1x12" (CAE, bogner size) for a WDW setup with an extra power-amp and my G-Major from the renegade head!
I also want to try my OS cab with some GT12-75 or scumbacks etc., I haven't really decided yet. I don't know if the V30's are the right speakers for me. (this is what I want to find out, hehe)

Because of budget reasons I was thinking; if I really like scumbacks or celestions etc. in the PC OS cab, would it be totally wrong to put the V30's in the 1x12's? (or the other way around, if I want to stick with the V30's)
will it sound strange?

another question: have you tried egnater renegade through different speakers? how much is an amp designed with a specific speaker in mind?

Hope you guys can help me out on this one;)

Egnaters sound great with Scumbacks...don't waste your $$ on Celestions....If you can't afford Scumbacks, the Warehouse Guitar speakers sound very good as well
I don't like V30's so I can't comment on that

dont forget about weber speakers either-there's a silver bell on feebay right now used

I tried Scumbacks with my amps and preferred the WGS Vet30/ET65 set!!!!!

Each amp builder designs their amps around certain speakers. I believe Egnater designed their stuff around V30's.

I agree..V 30's and the Custom Lead 80's (Elite 80's) I like them both so I have one of each in my Tourmaster 2/12. I have a hard time deciding which one to mic though. :D

I have decided that the Elite 80 mics better. I still like having the V30 in the cab especially during the hotter rhythms. They have that cut through the mix characteristic.
