Just curious what are some popular eq settings for all the channels. Looking for a good brutal metal tone. I just got my Herb last night and haven't had much time to play around with it. So far very impressed with ch2, very marshall sounding.

Also, isn't the herb supposed to have blue LED lights inside the amp? I don't see any in mine and my serial # is very late, 001/1040.

LED's (very bright blue ones) should be on the front panel but not on the inside of the amp itself like Engl or others do

Oh, bummer. The Framus Cobra and Engls look pretty cool with those LEDs.

Wow, you have one of the best amplifiers on the planet and all you can think about is LED's !!! :D

The Herbert is a plug in and smile amp. All day !!!!

Bro you ask for good EQ then leds????

EQ:
chan2+ gain around 2 o'clock treble, mid, high set to 12. + MIDCUT
Chan 3 pretty much the same. + MID CUT

ajust presence and deepness from there

it sounds good no matter what you do IMO.

I just thought the diezels had the internal led's, thats all, no big deal.

After playing the herb all day I can definantly agree it sounds good no matter which way I turn the knobs. Definantly my new favorite!

To start----fresh out of the box, set all to 12 o'clock and go from there
You'll love it
It is an AMAZING amp

Being the former owner of a few ENGL heads that had LED's in the chassis, I can say it's really not worth having.
It made it very difficult to see what was happening inside the tubes. (could be hard to determine if a tube is red plating when there is a red LED shining into it)
At one point, just before I re-tubed the SE, I strongly considered disconnecting them. They look ok, but they aere just not practical IMO.
