I’ll list all my gear and how I have it all hooked up in the signal chain at the moment to see if I can get some opinions on how others would hook it all up.
Peavey 5150II
Korg DTR-2000 (coming in the mail tomorrow)
ISP Decimator ProRackG
Rocktron Replifex with the All Access limited touring midi controller
BBE Sonic Maximizer 362
Boss NS-2
Maxon OD808
Maxon AD9
Signal chain in front of the amp:
Guitar > (I’d imagine the Korg tuner would go here) > Boss NS-2 input
Boss NS-2 output > Peavey input
Boss NS-2 send > Maxon OD808 input
Maxon OD808 output > Boss NS-2 return
Effects loop:
Peavey effects send > ISP Decimator channel 1 input
ISP channel 1 output > Rocktron Replifex mono (R) input
Replifex R output > BBE A input
BBE A output > Maxon AD9 input
Maxon AD9 output > Peavey effects return
I know some people use the channel 1 on the ISP for the front of the amp, and the channel 2 for the effects loop. But I saw somewhere that Adam D from Killswitch uses the NS-2 in front of the amp and then the ISP channel 1 in the effects loop. I’ve kind of been chasing his tone.
I’ve recently added the Replifex and haven’t tried it out yet. I just assumed it would go where I put it in the chain.
How would you knowledgeable people hook this combination of gear up? Should I do away with the NS-2 and just run both ISP channels? How would you order this signal chain?
Be gentle. I’m a noob when it comes to stuff like this.
