Need some midi experts help (G-Major/Midi Mate/JVM)

I have a G-Major that I control with a Rocktron Midi Mate, works great!
I have a Marshall JVM 410H that is midi capable.

How do I get it so that the Midi Mate controls both the g-major and the midi functions (channel, mode, master volume) of the Marshall?

Is this the correct way to connect everything:
Midi Mate Midi Out -> G Major Midi In....G Major Midi Out -> JVM Midi IN ?

If so...then what?
I'm a noob when it comes to this.

I go like this:

Out of my FCB1010, in to my JVM, out of the JVM to the in of my gmajor. Then I think I had to program the JVM and the FCB together while being on the correct patch on the Gmajor. The JVM has the midi button to store its settings.
 
Midi Mate Midi Out -> JVM Midi In......JVM Midi Out/Thru -> G Major Midi In

bump...

im running the same thing. rocktron midi-mate and g-major through my 5150 II

only problem, is that my 5150 (out or in?) is 7 pin not 5 pin.

esentially i know the 2 extra pins are for power and ground. how would i run this setup?

honestly ive had problems getting all this to work from the start. but eventually ill have enough time to sit down and learn the manuals of the major and mate

.... listening to myself, i sound like a total idiot on this topic. as no-ones really spoke me through the patch/channel/bank stuff or how it works.
